Really? Why? I guess it is a very different type of read - a little unconventional.

Thank you for the recommendation! I'll definitely check it out. I love a good emotional read. :)

Jennifer (jenlopez1283) | 84 comments started reading Devils Knot The True Story of the West Memphis Three by Mara Leveritt in addition to Lothaire (Immortals After Dark, #12) by Kresley Cole and its great to turn to Lothaire sometimes from this book because it can be really hard to handle it emotionaly at times, its a very depressing situation

I watched the West Memphis Three documentaries, Jennifer. Is the book interesting? I know they're making a movie of it soon.

message 4458: by Jennifer (new)

Jennifer (jenlopez1283) | 84 comments So far, Im only up to Jesse's confenssion and it gives a lot more background on the kids themselves and their childhoods and more details on how the stories and evidence kept changing. One thing I have noticed was Mark Byer's story is always changing and Damien's alibi for that night seems pretty concrete. As of right now I recomend reading it. I just think it is such a devestating story every which way you look at it and I had to pick it up after I saw the three Paradise Lost films to get more info.

That's exactly how I feel, too....the films had me completely riveted, and I don't even like documentaries.

message 4462: by Black (new)

Black | 1 comments I finished Fifty Shades Trilogy (E.L.James).. The 3 books are really good! It's a contemporary romance novel with alpha male hero (yummy Christian Grey!), slight BDSM elements, steamy love scenes, adorable heroine & kickass plot. Missing 'fifty shades' terribly! Now I can't seem to move on from them. Can't find a book with the same intensity :( Can anyone recommend a book similar to fifty shades? I just read Beautiful Disaster & currently reading Perfect Chemistry (both YA for its 'dangerous hero' theme).

I was going to suggest Beautiful Disaster, but I see that you've read it already. I've seen in other discussions that people recommend Gabriel's Inferno or The Reluctant Dom after Fifty. And after reading Beautiful Disaster people recommend All The Wrong Reasons (I like this book) or Thoughtless -both of these are YA. Obviously I've been looking for similar books too :-)

I know, sometimes triangles get annoying , they are everywhere. I felt like maybe she had made a decision and the triangle might not be such an issue in the next book. Glad you liked it though, because it was a good book.

Corey-bar owner & prenatural "something" is boss to a collection of otherworldly people-Fae, Vamp & Were....She is asked by her adopted "sire" who is a vampire to hide his son and several vamps who need to disappear due to "political" reasons. His son, happens to be Nicholii, a hot, moody vampire.

So-far...so-good.

I just read that one last week and was pleasantly surprised by it. It was much better than the first book.

Michelle(Chelle) aka Nightshade - Cake Whisperer (michmag) I skipped the first book per comments from some others in our group. We are doing a big buddy read of the series in another group and they mentioned that Julian is not a true Hunter so it was okay to skip and then go back to it. I am really enjoying it so far.

I love Julian's book I have read all of these books and would not recommend skipping any they all build on each other and the characters will show up in other books especially Julian and Kyrian

Yeah that's what I mean....he is in many books after his. I always hate feeling like I have missed something and when you see someone come up over and over you miss the development of those characters .... Besides I just liked his story

Rachel the Book Harlot | 217 comments I finished Heat by R. Lee Smith , which was incredibly disturbing but also incredibly compelling and amazing. Definitely not for the faint of heart. Next I finished My Dearest Enemy by Connie Brockway which was just okay. Now I'm reading Chasing Rainbows by Victoria Lynne and so far I really like it. :)

ConstantReader76a | 26 comments Just finished Angelfall (Penryn & the End of Days, #1) by Susan Ee . Raffe is definitely a dangerous hero worth watching! Can't wait for Book 2.

Michelle(Chelle) aka Nightshade - Cake Whisperer (michmag) So I went back to Fantasy Lover (Dark-Hunter, #0) by Sherrilyn Kenyon , I have about a chapter to go. So good. I loved Julian's story.

@Carolyn if you can fit this into your challenges somewhere I would recommend reading this one before Night Pleasures. You can read it and get the gist of the story but I honestly wouldn't recommend it. I now wish that I had read them in order.
