MrsJoseph *grouchy* (mrsjoseph) I'm currently reading Noble Satyr as my at work read. It's a Georgian historial romance but so far I'm not too impressed. The hero isn't really doing anything right now - but the H/h just started having to spend more time together so we'll see. It's won awards so I was expecting more.

La La | 132 comments I finished Crave (The Fallen Angels, #2) by J.R. Ward , which wsa ok. I have a feeling it will get better so I will probably pick up the next book in the series. I read Every Time We Kiss by Christie Kelley to give myself a small PNR break. Now I've decided to read Blood Destiny (Blood Curse, #1) by Tessa Dawn . I hope it's good. Many people have added it to their libraries, but no one has stated whether they liked it or not.

The third book in that series is one of my all-time favorites. It's on my keeper shelf and I reread my favorite parts a whole lot!

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish I just loved Houston, and Dallas is ok. I'm not too far in and so far he's not said a single halfway decent thing to Cordelia.

message 2881: by MrsJoseph *grouchy* (new)

MrsJoseph *grouchy* (mrsjoseph) I'm reading The Iron Duke (Iron Seas, #1) by Meljean Brook . I love the book as a steam punk novel but I'm not too hip on the romance as yet. The Iron Duke is -so far - shaping up to be an iron asshole.

Dallas is just ok, but Austin is my love, UM!

Haha MrsJoseph, he's pretty jerky, but he gets better...I ended up loving him!

What kind of book are you in the mood for, Jennifer?

message 2888: by La La (new)

La La | 132 comments So I'm a quarter way through Blood Destiny (Blood Curse, #1) by Tessa Dawn and it's kind of becoming a struggle to get through. Not because it's such a deep read, because it really isn't. But because it's really kind of boring. The blurb makes you think it's going to be this really exciting read, a vampire and a homeland security agent, how can you go wrong. So far the heroine's career plays no part in the story. She's suppose to be investigating a human trafficking ring, but that not really a part of the story either. I think it's just mentioned so you know why she is where she is at the begining of the story. There really is not chemistry between the hero and heroine. So far the book just has no depth. I'm on Nook page 256 out of 668. If it doesn't get to the point by page 300 it's going to be DNF.

That is waaaay to long for a boring story. There's got to be at least 1 explosion for every 150 pages...

MrsJoseph *grouchy* (mrsjoseph) Lady Danielle "The Book Huntress" wrote: "That doesn't make you strange. I think the Iron Duke is supposed to be a jerk."

:-) That's good. I'm still just moderatly strange!

Over at DA everyone was drooling over how dreamy he was when the book first came out. I didn't decide to read it til you rec'd though. :-)

message 2891: by La La (new)

La La | 132 comments There has been some fights and stuff, but she's even made that boring. I always feel this need to finish what I started, hoping that it might get better. Maybe she hasn't hit her stride yet. I'm reading Out of the Darkness (Offspring, #2) by Jaime_Rush ,too, which is really good. It breaking up the humdrum of this book.

~Jennifer~ (book_addiction) Megan wrote: "What kind of book are you in the mood for, Jennifer?"

Something that grabs hold and doesn't let go...The last few books I've read have been a little too shallow.

I finished one last night that has promise . I'm looking forward to the next one. Queen of Shadows (Shadow World, #1) by Dianne Sylvan

Last good dangerous hero books I've read were Warrior (The Blades of the Rose, #1) by Zoe Archer If You Dare (MacCarrick Brothers, #1) by Kresley Cole If You Desire (MacCarrick Brothers, #2) by Kresley Cole If You Deceive (MacCarrick Brothers, #3) by Kresley Cole ... Man, those MacCarrick brothers were hot!!!!:D

Also loved the Karen Rose books I've read, especially Die For Me (book #7) (Daniel Vartanian, #1) by Karen Rose and I Can See You (book #10) by Karen Rose

Are you looking for paranormal or can it be any genre?

Melanie (melaina) | 411 comments Jennifer wrote: "Anything."

For RS, I'd recommend Die For Me (book #7) (Daniel Vartanian, #1) by Karen Rose (although it's a little harsh)

HR If You Dare (MacCarrick Brothers, #1) by Kresley Cole As You Desire by Connie Brockway Warrior (The Blades of the Rose, #1) by Zoe Archer

CR Ride the Fire (Firefighters of Station Five, #5) by Jo Davis Kiss an Angel by Susan Elizabeth Phillips

Those are my latest favorites:-D

message 2897: by ~Jennifer~ (new)

~Jennifer~ (book_addiction) Thanks :) Looking for those now on Nook...may have to run to B&N tonight!

message 2898: by La La (new)

La La | 132 comments There are a few really good series I can think of

Romantic Suspense - Christy Reece Chance series, Anne Stuart Ice series, or Leslie Parrish Black Cat series
Paranormal - Nancy Gideon Moonlight series or Allison Brennan Seven Deadly Sins Series (there are only 2 books so far but they were good)
Historical - Charlotte Featherstone or Renee Bernard

I can't really think of any really good contemporary. I love anything by Shiloh Walker, but Susan Elizabeth Phillip books are good, too.

KR is great, huh? I just wasn't crazy about Kill for Me: It was kind of a disappointing end to the trilogy, lol... The others are awesome though! And I loved the SEP books I've read!
