Melanie (melaina) | 411 comments I definitely need to get to Robyn Carr:-) But I can't find her first VR books on bookdepository! I might have to wait till I move to the States (or at least till I go back!)

I finally finished Enemy Lover by Karin Harlow . I felt like it dragged for me a bit in parts. Maybe b/c I felt like it was more romantic suspense/ covert ops than pnr, and pnr was what I was expecting. In the end, I did end up giving it 4 stars though!

Mollie *scoutrmom* (scoutrmom) | 635 comments I'm still reading Frankenstein by Mary Shelley during the day.
At night I'm afraid to read that, so I began Dark Gold (Carpathians, #3) by Christine Feehan . Yes, you might have noticed I'm reading these out of order. That's because I took this one out of the bookshelf, couldn't find it, read the next, then found it under the bed.

message 1758: by [deleted user] (new)

Reading Magician (The Riftwar Saga, #1-2) by Raymond E. Feist wich ive been on for some time. Started Son of Ereubus (Guardians of Legend, #1) by J.S. Chancellor today. Really liking it so far

message 1759: by Amanda (new)

Amanda (kittiescardigansbooks) | 207 comments Just got the second two books in the I-Team series! Unlawful Contact (I-Team, #3) by Pamela Clare and Naked Edge (I-Team, #4) by Pamela Clare . So far the first two are definite 4* for me. At first I couldn't get fully into the second book Hard Evidence (I-Team, #2) by Pamela Clare as much as I got into the first book Extreme Exposure (I-Team, #1) by Pamela Clare , but once I did I ended up liking it more than the first! So glad that so many people recommended this series - otherwise I don't think I would have ever chosen to read them. I tend to completely avoid books when a main character is a reporter (they usually annoy me). But I am loving this series!!!

The last two are probably my favorites of the series, Amanda! Enjoy!

message 1761: by Tammy (new)

Tammy Walton Grant (tamgrant) In the last little bit I've read Lord of Scoundrels, Breathless, re-read One Dance with a Duke, and have just started Ten Ways to Be Adored When Landing a Lord.

Wow! Lots of historicals! I also started Dexter Is Delicious, just for something a little bit different.

Working my way through a re-read of Feehan's Carpathians, I cannot recall the title of the one I'm reading now, but it's the 5th (Julian Savage's story).

Sonya | 20 comments Does anyone know of any books with a hero thats an a**hole at first??? An example of what I'm looking for is like Angel's Blood, Hush, Hush. Those kinda stories!! I gotta taste for nasty heros right now, if you could help it would be GREATLY appreciated!

Molly - I read the first book in this series, Caine's Reckoning and hated it. The abuse the woman took was horrible. I've been told that Sam's Creed isn't like that, so I need to read it. Let me know how you like it.

I loved SM's Promises series.

There was the abuse, but since it wasn't at the hands of the hero I could deal with it. He rescued her and helped her life become better.

Lol.. A lot of Diana Palmer heroes are a**holes with the heroines at first:-) But there's the whole cruel hero/virgin heroine theme in most of her books.. I'd try Lawless by Diana Palmer Heartless by Diana Palmer Lawman by Diana Palmer Outsider by Diana Palmer Fearless by Diana Palmer or some of her newest books first:-)

Otherwise Kiss an Angel by Susan Elizabeth Phillips After the Night by Linda Howard Once and Always by Judith McNaught ... oh, and Whitney, My Love (Westmoreland, #2) by Judith McNaught is probably the best (or worst) for cruel heroes!

Janet (janetlilith) >Molly wrote:

That's very true, but I didn't like hearing the details of the abuse over and over again all through the book.
It may not bother someone else, though, for the same reason that you stated.

I think these books are great - the women go through so much and are always strong. I really like the authors other books too.

message 1777: by Carolyn F. (new)

Carolyn F. I finished Caleb (Shadow Wranglers, #1) by Sarah McCarty , which was wonderful. I'm now reading Kushiel's Dart (Kushiel's Legacy, #1) by Jacqueline Carey .

Starting Taken by Midnight (Midnight Breed, #8) by Lara Adrian and very excited about it. Happy Ever After (Bride Quartet, #4) by Nora Roberts and Play of Passion (Psy-Changeling #9) by Nalini Singh come out today and I'll be getting to them ASAP!

Oh yeah, I've read them all...it's my favorite vampire series!

message 1782: by Melanie (new)

Melanie (melaina) | 411 comments Sonny wrote: "Thanks Melanie! They sound to my liking!!"

Groovy:-) hope you find smt you'll enjoy! BTW, Kiss an Angel is a little lighter and more fun than the other couple I mentioned, although it does have a boatload of angst!

Otherwise, since Nov 1st I've read:
Lawman by Diana Palmer Regan's Pride (Long, Tall Texans, #11; Silhouette Romance #1000) by Diana Palmer Night of Love (Silhouette Desire, #799) by Diana Palmer Crown of Crystal Flame (Tairen Soul, #5) by C.L. Wilson Lord of the Fading Lands (Tairen Soul, #1) by C.L. Wilson Nine Rules to Break When Romancing a Rake (The Ralstons, #1) by Sarah MacLean Ten Ways to Be Adored When Landing a Lord (The Ralstons, #2) by Sarah MacLean Hush, Hush (Hush, Hush, #1) by Becca Fitzpatrick Crescendo (Hush, Hush, #2) by Becca Fitzpatrick

I loved CoCF, last in the Tairen Soul series, and Crescendo.. However Sarah MacLean's newest, while good, wasn't up to par with her first book.. Pity, but I'm still looking forwards to the next book!

Aren't they amazing??? I can't wait to read more! Although I expect it might be one book per character no? Gaelen, Bel, Kieran and Kiel? No idea when they'll come out though:-(

Gaelen and Bel for sure....I have a feeling we haven't seen the last of Melliandra. She and Gaelen had a moment, or maybe I just imagined it LOL!

I don't know if Kieran and Kiel will rate their own books as I'm 99% sure they're going to be mated to the twins. Maybe one book for them both?

M & G totally had a moment!!! And either the twins and K/K will have one book for both, or their storyline will continue as a secondary plot (i'm more interested in Kieran & Lillis, so I hope that the main storyline would be theirs!) ? As for Bel, not sure who would be good enough!:-)

I'm more interested in Kieran and Lillis, too....they seemed to be featured a little more prominently than Kiel and Lorelle, and Lillis seemed to be a little more powerful than her twin. I don't know who would be good enough for Bel either...nobody we've met so far.

The Sugar Queen by Sarah Addison Allen or Track of the Cat (Anna Pigeon Mysteries, #1) by Nevada Barr
