Elizabeth Isaacs (eisaacs) | 14 comments We're starting a major email campaign over the next few days for the book on kindle. I thought tags would carry over, but apparently not. Would you mind tagging the kindle version as well? I'm going back now to make sure I haven't left anyone out:-)
Thanks!

I know what you mean! I've been trying to update at least once a week, starting where I left off. I hope I haven't left anyone out. Is there a way (short of going through again) where you can find out?

I tagged your book several days ago. Just a point of interest. It looks like you were in Afghanistan during war which in Afghanistan could be any century. Living Beneath the Radar is about my travels in the 70s in which had me going through Afghanistan three times overland between Europe and India. This was before any country (Russia included) had any interest in it. It may interest you to read what it was like back then.

Hi Jeffrey, Its an honor to meet you. I thank you for sharing your story and travel in Afghanistan. It was surley a different time in the 70s.

It was surely different when I was there in 2002. Herat was pretty well torn up when I was there.

I look forward to reading your book also. Do you Think you will ever go back there again.

I will always remember Afghanistan and so will many other U.S. military men & women.

I do not think I will ever get a chance to return to Afghanistan. That poor country has been so ripped by so many nations and radical beliefs, its hard to imagine it ever being anything more than what it was in the 70s. It was really a medieval nation with a king and areas run by warlords. If it did make it into the 21 century and women we allowed to become educated and extreme fundamentalism in their religion loosened up, it may have a chance.

Sue Bowling (sueannbowling) | 55 comments Thanks to everyone who unchecked gavin, nora, and post-apocalyptic on mine, http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/tags... Homecoming is not contemporary (It starts about the time of George Washington's birth, but that isn't mentioned at all in Smokescreen, is only touched on in the sequel which is not published yet and becomes important only in the trilogy which IS contemporary.) Romance? Teen? Maybe. I hadn't intended either, but Harry Potter fans might like the adolescent protagonist. Homecoming by Sue Ann Bowling
Now, does anyone know anything about Barnes and Noble? I see that some books have a "Meet the Writer" tab, and their FAQ has info on how to change that, but nothing on how to get it to start with.

message 386: by Nelson (new)

Nelson Caldwell | 13 comments Say, between this and Todd Fonseca's group, some of the tagging categories have been so successful that I most gratefully request that on the Paperback version of  A Terrace on the Tower of Babel , that taggers mark only "Christianity","End Times","Catholic", and on down the remainder and/or if you should open the "see all" section, rather than the other initial categories.   The  Kindle version  categories are o.k. to continue tagging however one wishes.   Many thanks to all.

Gary Ballard (gary_ballard) | 54 comments You can click the box beside each individual tag (up to 15 per book) and make sure there is a checkmark in that box once you're done. If you click it again, you'll be removing the tag you placed.
