For the past year I’ve supported mostly unpublished authors by running a free monthly writing contest on my blog and paying out $25.00 to the winner. Now I’d like to switch it up and offer Indie and lesser-known authors a place to post their work and have readers discover new talent. Every month I’ll post the top 3 submissions and give the readers a chance to vote on their favorite. As long as you have a book available somewhere you can enter—whether it’s only on your website, or Amazon, or an e-book, it doesn’t matter. As long as the reader can buy your book after they’ve read an excerpt, that’s all that matters.

For December I’ll begin with opening paragraphs, approximately 100 words or less. Each month I’ll have a different theme. The idea is to offer a strong scene to capture the reader’s attention. Thanks Elizabeth! I will tag yours right after this response. Yes, great reviews are always good for sales. Keep in mind Midwest Reviews receives on average approx 2300 submissions per month. They can only review a fraction of those. I was so blessed to be able to receive a review from them. Allbooks is only a guaranteed review if you pay for the promo package. Otherwise you send in book and cross fingers like another reviewing house. Both are reputable and give true reviews. Meaning you are not guaranteed a good review. Hope this helps. =)
