ummmm.....i hate to admit this but ive never actually read harry potter before, ive only ever seen the movies. I love the movies with a passion of 7000 burning suns though...

Geez...these are both my favorite series. But I have to go with Hunger Games...It is so much more emotional, it gets to the point faster, and I just couldn't put it down, when during HP i grew bored. Plus I can't wait to watch the Hunger Games when it becomes a movie-i hope the director doesn't ruin it
Also, I like the characters in the Hunger Games more. They are so much more likable

I love the hunger games but i love harry potter a little more. it was one of the first books i read by myself and then i went on the read it to my little sisters so its stuck with me.

I love Hunger Games but it didn't have an epic ending like Harry Potter so Harry wins for me and also there were 7 harrys and 3 hunger games and nearly every harry was amazing except order of phoenix. But then again Hunger Games was completely different to Harry so there really is no real way to choose Hunger Games had Things that Harry didn't and vise vearsa
if u liked both of those series i suggest that u read Pendragon by DJ MacHale. its got 10 books and they just get better and better throughout the series. if u really like an epic ending dont read the epilogue in the 10th

Nothing can be compared to Harry Potter. Nope, not even The Hunger Games. I think.
As much as I love Harry Potter, I'd have to go with Hunger Games. I devoured the HP series but Hunger Games drew me in and didn't let go. Harry Potter didn't bring out as many emotions as Hunger Games did for me.I cried, I laughed, I swore. Every page had my heart racing for one reason or another.
Yup, The Hunger Games is the only book that's brought out so many emotions in me.
I love both equally, but I read HP first, so I'll go with.... HARRY POTTER!
Harry Potter by a LARGE margin. Harry Potter was simply better crafted than the Hunger Games.

Yes they are! There are many characters that i hate in Harry Potter. Slughorn, Mr. Crouch, Krum, Karakaroff, Wormtail, Moony (Lupin), Moody etc

i give it to harry potter by a few points. a close but decisive win. there was just so much more in the harry potter story. and the weasley family. come on. but this was closer than most IMO.

Harry Potter, of course! *spoilers below*I mean, nothing in the Hunger Games made me cry like I did when Sirius, Dumbledore and Snape died. I didn't really get that much attached to the characters of HG.
No other series in existence right now can compare to Harry Potter, in my opinion.

i hate lupin because EVERYONE just falls for him and thinks he is perfect-which i find annoying.
