Hi- I'm Joell and this is my first online book group. I have love JA since high school, and have read most every one of her novels. It's been awhile for most of them so I'm excited to get going on re-reading. S&S is the next read, correct? Still getting aquainted with this website.

I have lurked long enough and now I will introduce myself. My name is Robyn, I am 45 and live in Houston with my husband Jeff, who just does not understand my obsession(yes, that is the only word) with Jane Austen and the whole time period. I read
when I was eleven years old and loved it! I own many, many different copies of her novels especially P&P. I would love to one day complete my Master's Degree in English Literature with an emphasis on Jane Austen. I would teach the world over the love of Austen.

Hello!my name is Gabriela and I just recently rediscovered my love for all things Austen, specifically P&P. I never realized until recently that there were adaptations, variations, etc. etc. and am reading the hellout of all of the ones that i can get my hands on. Most are meh, but I love Mr. Darcy so much that I cannot get enough. (*hides in shame*) but honestly, I am currently reading persuasion, and a book by Simonsen. I don't have many fellow reader buddies (or if my friends read they like stuff like scifi which I am not super fond of...), and my husband has no interest in me going on about JA stuff! Hope to get my fix here :)

Hello! My name is Grace and I am 16. I live downtown in the beautiful city of Portland Oregon with my parents and two cats. I enjoy reading, traveling, walking around downtown, school, and knitting. I started reading Austen when I was twelve and never stopped. I would definitely not be the same person if I had never read these 6 wonderful books. After much inner turmoil, I have fixed on Emma an Persuasion as my favorites. This is my first online discussion group and I'm so excited about it! I have very few friends who have read Jane Austen, and still less who I can discuss with. It's nice to meet you all!

It's my favorite and has taught me never to judge someone too quickly, you might just be turning your back on your very own Mr. Darcy! I have only been on Goodreads for a week but love this group!

Hi, I'm Abby. I've been on Goodreads a while, but only just starting to figure out groups etc. Love, love, love Jane Austen, and am finding that having the books available as free downloads to iPad etc encourages me to re-read them when I'm traveling. Most recent read: Persuasion. Next up...Mansfield Park, I think.

Hello all. My name is Rafe and I just joined both goodreads and this group. Still learning about both things.I am an obsessive Jane Austen and Jane Austen Fanfiction fan. My favorite is Pride and Prejudice, and Emma comes next for me. I know a lot of people don't like her, but I find the whole novel incredibly amusing.
Lets see, I first read P&P when I was 21 and have loved it ever since. I just discovered the Fanfiction community about 2 years ago, and I dove right in, reading everything I could find and even trying my hand at writing.
And now I'm off to go and explore the site some more.

Hi! My name is Jeniece and I am 17 years old. I read all of the Jane Austen books last summer and loved all of them. I don't really have a favorite, but the last one I read was Emma, which I liked a lot. Anyway, I'm from the Chicago area and I hope to reread them all sometime soon! I've also seen a lot of the movie versions of each book. :)

Helloo, I'm Julie... I've been a JA fan for years. The first one I read was Pride and Prejudice, and from there I was hooked on both the books and the movies. Starting in January I'll be taking an english class on P&P, Persuasion, and Emma. I'm super excited, re-reading them right now :D
