Yes the bridal shower was such a riot. And poor Morris. She had me in tears at one point, too.

Christine | 1127 comments I'm reading Green-Eyed Demon (Sabina Kane, #3) by Jaye Wells but I'm having a hard time getting in to it. That's probably why it's been almost two years since I read the last one in this series.

I'm listening to One Week Girlfriend (One Week Girlfriend Quartet, #1) by Monica Murphy which is quite captivating so far.

message 32708: by ♥ Ashleigh ♥ (new)

♥ Ashleigh ♥ Contrary to popular belief I'm not actually mad! (cheshire_red) read Magic Study (Study, #2) by Maria V. Snyder was pretty awesome, though sadly not as good as the first.
now while i have some spare time before i start my next book challenge (Birthstone color parade) im thinking of reading Ship Breaker (Ship Breaker, #1) by Paolo Bacigalupi which i'v heard some good stuff about.

message 32710: by Fiona (Titch) (new)

Fiona (Titch) Hunt (titch) I have just finished the wonderful Shattered Edge - A.M. Hargrove. Now I am going to read either Chasing Anya - Jayda McTyson or Kissing Fire - A.M. Hargrove.

message 32711: by Amac (new)

Amac | 39 comments I finished Immortal Rider (Lords of Deliverance, #2; Demonica, #7) by Larissa Ione a week ago. Borderline hated it. It just feels like the author comes up with stuff as she's writing to fit the narrative of the plot for everything to be explained away, like mini deus ex machina's thrown around. Reading the whole Thanatos/Regan stuff just really made me want to throw the book and it was only because I was so close to finishing the book that I even bothered to finish. I don't know if I'll read the next one. Sheesh! I'm taking a break from PNR and am currently reading an Austen re-telling.

April 1st can not get here soon enough! Hope The King is wonderful.
I think my next PNR read will be The Battle Sylph (Sylph, #1) by L.J. McDonald , a lot of you seem to like it

message 32712: by Victoria (last edited Feb 20, 2014 12:26PM) (new)

Victoria Just finished MacRieve (Immortals After Dark, #13) by Kresley Cole. Starting Reaver (Lords of Deliverance #5; Demonica #10) by Larissa Ione.

message 32713: by Irene (last edited Feb 20, 2014 01:19PM) (new)

Irene (irenemikhaylova) | 478 comments Finished short stories Close to You (Downside Ghosts, #5.5) by Stacia Kane and A Touch of Midnight (Midnight Breed, #0.5) by Lara Adrian - both awesome!
Fifth Grave Past the Light (Charley Davidson #5) by Darynda Jones - what can I say, Reyes and Charley rock!!! And all sticker game... I so want the next book to come out ASAP!
Read Dark Bites (Dream-Hunter, #1; Hellchaser, #1; Were-Hunter, #1; Dark-Hunter, #2.5, 2.6, 7.5, 9.5, 9.6, 10.5) by Sherrilyn Kenyon - excellent new stories. The whole Aricles and Bathymaas story shed a lot of light on Styxx and Bethany relationship and the "feelings" Apollo had for Styxx.
Finished listening to Curtsies & Conspiracies (Finishing School, #2) by Gail Carriger - I do adore the narrator, she does a great job!
And re-read Seize the Night (Dark-Hunter, #7) by Sherrilyn Kenyon - everything got really messed up in this book.

Started reading The Reluctant Bachelorette by Rachael Anderson and An Infamous Marriage by Susanna Fraser . Also started listening to Hostage to Pleasure (Psy-Changeling, #5) by Nalini Singh .

message 32728: by [deleted user] (last edited Feb 24, 2014 05:29AM) (new)

It has been quite some time since I posted here. Since my last post, I have completed The Eye of God (Sigma Force #9) by James Rollins (This is a thriller, but was sooo awesome)
Magic to the Bone (Allie Beckstrom, #1) by Devon Monk (Allie is a great heroine- Snarky but not too overboard. Loved this book)
Burden by Lila Felix (This was a surprising sweet book, especially considering its about bear shifters!).

I also completed Eternal Pleasure (Gods of the Night, #1) by Nina Bangs and Eternal Craving (Gods of the Night, #2) by Nina Bangs . This cover somehow does not match with the content of the book- Still, I loved both. Also completed Warprize (Chronicles of the Warlands, #1) by Elizabeth Vaughan , which was a surprisingly awesome fantasy book. Finally, I finished Eros (Olympiana, #1) by Helen Harper .

Now reading Silver Bullet by S.M. Reine

message 32730: by Christine (new)

Christine | 1127 comments One Week Girlfriend (One Week Girlfriend Quartet, #1) by Monica Murphy turned out to be really good. Poor, poor Drew.

Green-Eyed Demon (Sabina Kane, #3) by Jaye Wells was kind of ho-hum for me. I enjoy the plot and most of the supporting characters, but Sabina gets on my nerves at times.

I'm almost done with Hidden Away (KGI, #3) by Maya Banks which has been quite a bit better than the first two in the series. And now I'm intrigues by several supporting characters, so I'm going to have to keep reading so I can get to their books.

I also listened to With Silent Screams (Hellequin Chronicles #3) by Steve McHugh which was a good addition to the series.

Now I'm about halfway through Fury of the Demon (Kara Gillian, #6) by Diana Rowland and really liking some of the revelations in this one.

Amie (alm0824) | 35 comments I finished up two books yesterday. One was The Last Boyfriend by Nora Roberts. I really enjoyed this one; I feel like I'm part of the town and can't wait to see how things wrap up in the next one. I also finished my second Kristen Ashley book, Mystery Man. I loved this one; I'm think I'm definitely hooked now. Next up to the read is Fire Me Up by Katie MacAlister.

message 32743: by Christine (last edited Feb 26, 2014 09:51AM) (new)

Christine | 1127 comments I ended up starting Whispers in the Dark (KGI, #4) by Maya Banks and I'm not sure how I feel about her suddenly adding a paranormal element four books into the series. I love paranormal stories, but it's not what I expect from this series. And I don't get the apparently arbitrary difference between Shea's power and her sister's. Maybe that will be explained later?

On audio, I finally started Moon Over Soho (Peter Grant, #2) by Ben Aaronovitch and I must say that there is just something about Peter (or maybe the narrator's delivery?) that cracks me up.

@Pat: Thank you XD

Okay, so I finished reading Abandon (Abandon Trilogy, #1) by Meg Cabot and looking for the second.
Can't say it was the best book I ever read, but it caught me in the end. I was in fact just starting to get into the story when it suddenly crashed into the last page. XD

Now I don't know what to read next until I find it. Anyone knows any really good books on this death story line that may distract me from this one? Because in all honesty I think I fancy the story universe and potentials more than the story itself XD

message 32748: by Christine (new)

Christine | 1127 comments I'm reading Whispers in the Dark (KGI, #4) by Maya Banks and it started out well enough, even with the sudden addition of a paranormal element, but now that the two main characters are together their dialogue is kind of cheesy. It's almost difficult to read their conversations with one another. I'm going to power through, but this may be the nail in the coffin for this series and I.

These Violent Delights (Robin) I am almost done with a young adult zombie book, Bad Taste in Boys by Carrie Harris.

I am also almost done with paranormal adult romance Twice Tempted (Night Prince, #2) by Jeaniene Frost. Man I am a sucker for a Jeaniene Frost book... haha.
