That book has easily become a favorite of mine! :)

so far? I'm reading
, it's taking me forever to finish this book lol wil read
next =) My first Anne Staurt =)
dEe - so far, I like it, but don't see how the heroine can fall in love with the hero, he is the worst despot I've seen yet! (I just love that word, despot!) But the saying goes, the bigger they are, the harder they fall, so we shall see. I'm definitely intrigued, I haven't had a chance to listen to it all weekend and I can't wait to get back to it!

I'm a huge fan and her last couple of books have been fantastic, IMO. However, while I enjoyed Lyon's Bride, I definitely felt it's apart of a series. While the love story is resolved by the end of the book, it does end with a cliffhanger. I am looking forward to reading the other books.

Ugh cliffhangers! That's how they rope you into the series ;)
Thanks for letting me know I've read a few of her older novels and most I have liked. I'll have to add this new one to my wish list.
Finished:
I was surprised at how much I enjoyed it! will be reading more Mary Jo,P in the future.currently reading:

I was honestly surprised by them, even though I was prepared beforehand by Dhes. It`s been a loooong time since I gave a historical romance a 4 star.. **phew** I thought I had grown more cynical than usual, LOL!!
The Paris Wife seems interesting to me, but I can see how there might be mixed feelings about it. I want to read it but have am afraid I might not like certain aspects of it.
Shelly wrote: "The Paris Wife seems interesting to me, but I can see how there might be mixed feelings about it. So far the story and the writing style are enjoyable. The problem is when the book gets a crazy hype that I become overcritical about it- I need to find the book deserving of the recognition;Too many good books neglected. I feel like an underdog ambassador by putting the popular books to shame :P **coughs** 50 shades.. ** coughs**
I will let you know my thoughts on it, though.
I feel the same about 50 shades, lolI wonder about how the book will present the relationship between Hadley and Ernest, especially towards the end of their relationship. That's what I'm afraid I may not like, but I do know she eventually leaves him, or at least files for divorce.

UGH! Shelly, the book is just so gloom for a hopeless romantic.. (and I consider myself a cynic, lol) I`ve read his works, but never about his personal life, and let me tell you that by the time I was 80% done with the book I had to go WIKI on Ernest;4 marriages.. enough said there.
what piqued my curiosity was something he wrote in his last book A Moveable Feast :" I would rather have died than fallen in love with anyone by Hadley" ... was she the love oh his life then? that question lingers.
@Autumn - I've read only one or two of his works, and I knew all about his 4 marriages, but I still liked them, particularly The Old Man & the Sea. I found it simple but profound, which fascinates me. I am intrigued by the fact he had 4 wives, and I think I read somewhere he thought Hadley was the love of his life, but he was too troubled to be able to hold on her. I think she also wouldn't put up with it, just from the little bit of info I've read about her.I also consider myself a cynic, but also a hopeless romantic, lol - how that works together I'm not sure, but when it comes to life I'm pretty cynical, but love springs eternal, and all that jazz, haha. I'm still interested in reading it, because Hadley herself seems interesting but I think going in knowing the outcome (and that she eventually marries someone else, and stays married for a long time with that man) prepares me for it to be not so rosy.
@Shelly- Finished it last night, and I think in the last 20% of the book, the author does a very good job wrapping up the rest of their lives. I felt for both of them; Ernest for feeling so lost, and Hadley for all that she went through-she lost the sense of self trying to support in what she believed in. I was glad the author took no sides, but rather exposed their complexities, and how much this weighted in their lives. If you feel compelled to read more about Hadley, then this book its a good addition.started reading:

You've been busy!"Well, I was busy for February, nothing on March, returned to business in April, and had to sneak a few in the beginning of May, but June has been slow for reading due to class. I'm hoping to sneak in one or two books before the month is over, though. Crossing my fingers here.
I just moved, so I'm not really reading much right now. I've been trying to read a little at night, but I keep falling asleep. That makes me so mad, because that's the only time I've had to get a few pages in!

I loved The Promise in a Kiss! It was nice to read Sebastian and Helena's story. Taste of Innocence is next on my list.
Y'all are making me want to start the Cynster books. I've read the Cynster sister trilogy and where the heart leads with barnaby Adair.
I'm currently reading
. It's my first Emma Wildes but I like it so far and would read this author again.
