Laura wrote: "I started
last night. I hate to admit this, but I skim a lot. Can't quit though. The story line is great. What did anyone else think of it???"I love her books that one included....
I only skim if I've lost interest and just feel I need to finish it.

Melanie - how were the Jill Shalvis and the Lori Foster books??
I watched the movie
and LOVED it. Has anyone read the book and what did you think?? I also fell in love with Alex Pettyfer and found out he's the guy in
which is another book I've been thinking about reading. Is it worth it??? Anyone?

Have been trying to get The Secret for a long time. I am anal about reading a series in order. Did you read The Secret first? If so, what did you think?
Right now I am read 3 myster books after i get this done I got a Lisa book i check out at the library forgot what the name is
Bekah - Loved Jill Shalvis' Pacific Heat books!! I'd put off reading them after a miss with Smart & Sexy, but they were amazing.. Wish she would write more of them!! 4.5* and 5*.. As for LF's Never Too Much, really enjoyed it! I'd loved the first book (Noah and Grace), and I loved Ben and Sierra too: 4*.. Lori Foster is peculiar in the way that her plots aren't fabulous (except for the SBC series), but the writing and characters are great:-D

Good to know, thanks! I'm pretty sure I have smar and sexy too...maybe I should put off reading it!
Bekah - It wasn't terrible, it's just that after reading Simply Irresistible, Smart and Sexy was a "disappointment" (think I gave it 3*)..

I'm reading
, and it's really good. I had to make myself put the book down and go to bed last night. I am not happy with something the hero does, which I will likely expound upon in my review. I forgot how much I like Celeste Bradley.
Jennifer - Isn't it great? I'm going to do a reread this month to, lol:-DI read
Monday and loved it:-D Nothing since though! In a rut, lol..
Melanie wrote: "Jennifer - Isn't it great? I'm going to do a reread this month to, lol:-D"It had been in my TBR for so long - very glad I picked it up last night, though it meant I was up wayyy too late! Great setting, and so sweet and funny. Sigh...

Jennifer wrote: "I just finished

Just finished
and
, an anthology with Jaid Black and Lora Leigh. Currently reading
and started
on audio at work. Also started
for my library book club. Not my normal type of book, but I'm trying to get through it.
Melanie wrote: "Just finished

Lisa Kay wrote: "Melanie, I'm so glad you liked it!"Glad I liked it too:-D
Currently reading
and am somewhat disappointed in it so far:-( Heroine is so far a simpering miss and hero a weak-willed son...
Reading Ford County for something different but not liking it very much and It Had to Be You Which I am enjoying very much!!!
After a couple of mediocre historicals, I am drawn back to Lisa Kleypas and the huge backlist I have the pleasure of catching up on! I'm about to start Suddenly You. :)
Heidi wrote: "Started
this after noon, I am stuck on this series! Can't put them down!"Heidi, loved this book although I didn't think it was quite as heartbreaking as Comanche Moon and Comanche Heart. Still have to read Comanche Magic. Might read this after I've finished the Wallflowers series.
I'm sure I will go right into Comanche Magic after I am thru with Indigo Blue. I like to read them all in order, and just downloaded it to my kindle so I can have it when Im ready.
Just finished Comanche Magic and I was a little disappointed. I LOVED all of the other books in the series but this one was too emotional, not enough happening. Now reading The Secret by Julie Garwood and loving it so far. I love the Scottish Highlands and their no-nonsense, hunky men!

Now Lisa dear, that is romance at its best.. IMO. God i loved that book so much!!
finished
and
..sizzling good series!! trying to pace myself to the next installent with this
Just finished The Secret by Julie Garwood and LOVED it. I think I have another favourite author! What is it about the Highlands that ensnares me every time!
Amanda wrote: "Just finished The Secret by Julie Garwood and LOVED it. I think I have another favourite author! What is it about the Highlands that ensnares me every time!"Amanda, I was thinking of starting on that one tonight. Good to hear you enjoyed it!
I just finished the novella Unlocked last night. Really good, and does a lot in the short space provided.
Amanda wrote: "Just finished The Secret by Julie Garwood and LOVED it. I think I have another favourite author! What is it about the Highlands that ensnares me every time!"You should definitely read all her other books, they're just as good (well, IMO Castles was a bit of a disappointment compared to her other books)!! After the Highland series, read The Prize or Lion's Lady!! She also has some CR books that are great!
Since coming to Italy, I've read
and currently reading

Audrey,
I have been afraid of trying this author (Garwood) not having read anything by her before. What a fool I was! You have got to read this book!
Read
last night (especially loved Samara and Noah's story... Eden and Jordan's was a tad too heartwrenching for me!) 4* and 5*
Amanda, I haven't read any Garwood yet, so "The Secret" will be my first. I'll probably start it this week or the next.Right now, I'm in the middle of Beau Crusoe, which is really good.
Oh, Audrey. "The Secret" may be your first Julie Garwood, but it won't be your last. Her historicals are amazing!!!
Laura wrote: "Oh, Audrey. "The Secret" may be your first Julie Garwood, but it won't be your last. Her historicals are amazing!!!"Sounds great, Laura! Honestly, I don't typically read historicals set prior to 1750s-ish. There are just certain everyday life conveniences/practices that I am used to having in the book. Besides her contemporaries, do you know if Julie Garwood writes outside of the medieval period/can you recommend any?
