Autumn (sweetdenial) | 1625 comments Melody wrote:I can't really say slow cause it's obviously a coming-of-age story. But it's coming off slow to me cause it's not what I was expecting. I understand why Kleypas did it but I'm not sure if it's all really necessary. I'm tempted to skip this and go straight to Blue Eyed Devil but I can't bring myself too. LoL I'm just gonna shut up and keep going. lol

I think i agree with you on that pt Melody. IMHO I saw this book as Liberty`s journey more than a romance story, which is the category of the book. Needless to say i adored that book for the exact same reasons. weird huh?.But i fully understand why i gives the wrong expectations. I think once one is thru the whole Travis`s series the whole puzzle fits in very cleverly. well, thats just my take. i hope u enjoy the other 2 if haven't come around them yet. :)

E. (dilawrosas) | 507 comments Finally got that life's intrusion over with for this year. Now I can READ.

That said, I'm itching to get going on my challenge but I got this book His Christmas Virgin to tide me over so that, hopefully, I'll be finished with it by the time the challenge begins. (Argh. The title doesn't do the book justice. Sometimes, the publisher sure has a way with titles. X( )

Seize The Fire

Blimey she's a wonderful writer and so creative-brilliant characterisations.

It's about a Princess who is plump and naive.
And about a naval hero who is no hero and is broke.
The plot is crazy - they're currently shipwrecked on an island- not tropical though- snow and penguins.

D.G. The Hunger Games is AMAZING, Atumn! It's not really paranormal, more like a dystopia. The characters are young people, but it's not about high school or anything. This book is dead serious and so exciting. My heart was beating so hard during most of the book.

Grace Elliot (httpwwwgoodreadscomgraceelliot) | 68 comments Katherine - that's good to hear. I was intrigued by it cos the heroine is into animals, so romance, animals and LK - has to be a winning combination.

The tricky part is actually baking 14 individual, uniform layers of cake. It takes roughly 40 minutes.
