Amanda (peanutty222) I loved Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins , Amy & Roger's Epic Detour by Morgan Matson and Please Ignore Vera Dietz by A.S. King .
I've been meaning to get The Mockingbirds (The Mockingbirds, #1) by Daisy Whitney and I'm glad to hear it was good, I'll bump it.

LOVED THAT BOOK TOO

message 456: by Jules (new)

Jules | 5 comments Go Ask Alice I just read go Ask Alice. it was amazing and life changing. Most people's descriptions are "it's about a girl who gets addicted to drugs..." but it's sooo much more than that. it's the diary to a teen age girl who questions life, love and the people around her. She tries desperatly to find her place as she experiments with drugs, sex, and not-so-trustworthy friends. I think that anyone going into high school should read it.

Lisa Nagel | 3 comments Divergent, by Veronica Roth. Amazingly it is her debut novel. Really liked it! First in a trilogy. Can't wait for the next one.

message 458: by Beth (new)

Beth | 1 comments If I Stay by Gayle Forman. This was an amazing book. As Mia tries to decide what to do next, as the family she loves is gone. It is surprisingly an uplifting story, as we experience flashbacks throughout her life before the accident, where the reader learns about a happy, loving family, that is connected; something that is often taken for granted in today's society. Makes the reader appreciate life. Very excited for the sequel.

Nothing by Janne Teller--an artistically disturbing
book about kids defining what exactly is "meaningful" to them-- a must read

message 460: by Shelby (new)

Shelby | 1 comments A Kiss In Time by Alex Flinn- It was better than Beastly and I honestly thought nothing could top that!

Terry Elisabeth (PandaBox33) | 1 comments Suite Scarlett (Scarlett, #1) by Maureen Johnson I'm reading this and I spent a lot of my time in waiting rooms and in the metro yesterday, I'm already at half the book. Very easy to dive in.

Kim (wwwgoodreadscomkimmyt) | 1 comments The Murder of Bindy MacKenzie is a great read! I would never have guessed the ending.

message 471: by NJ (new)

NJ (njorange) Hmmm. My favorite recent reads are Will Grayson, Will Grayson (you will never EVER go wrong with John Green and David Levithan), Cracked Up to Be by Courtney Summers (it's my first book I've read of her and I wasn't disappointed like I initially thought I'd be), Dash & Lily's Book of Dares by Levithan and Rachel Cohn (all the books of these two are AMAZING), and Going Bovine (probably my all-time YA favorite; Libba Bray is the funniest person ever.

I loved Cryer's Cross from Lisa McMann. :)

message 476: by Amanda (new)

Amanda (snugshelf) This month hasn't really been a good month for books, so all I got is Darkness Becomes Her.
It was okay. Too many supernatural elements thrown into one book. I feel like it could have been way better though, cause the premise was pretty interesting.

message 477: by Rakisha (new)

Rakisha (rakishabpl) I'm not sure how, but I've kind of stopped reading current YA books although I just read a very good graphic novel--Yummy: Life of Southside Shorty. I also just read Tantalize. I'm my to read list is Jane by April (?) Linder. It's a modern take on Jane Eyre.

message 478: by Pam (new)

Pam Williams | 47 comments Finished Wake (Dream Catcher, #1) by Lisa McMann and liked it a lot. It's different from the supernatural novels I've been reading. The premise is that she enters people's dreams. She tries to learn to control her entry and interaction with the dream. I'm not sure I'm going to continue the series because I have so much else to read.
