Patricia (catnaping) | 415 comments Finished [image error] I can't wait for the next book.I also finished The Lightning Thief (Percy Jackson and the Olympians, #1) by Rick Riordan on Audio.I'm now reading Warrior Ascended (Sons of the Zodiac, #1) by Addison Fox and listening to Outlander (Outlander, #1) by Diana Gabaldon on Audio.

message 1052: by Starling (new)

Starling | 176 comments Patty, I would think that Outlander would be a great book to listen to on Audio.

Personally I never managed to listen to novels when I was spending my life in my car. I did a lot of heavy non-fiction, mostly books I could never have managed to finish if I was reading the books. One huge naval history of WW II, and Patton's War as I Knew It. I've never have gotten through either one as a book. Just not interested enough in WW II, but the Patton book has stuck with me for about 3 decades as something I'm glad I did listen to.

My library took forever with this one too. I have it waiting for me to pick up now, too bad I won't be able to get it until towards the end of the week. I have others that I need to finish first even though I am tempted to just get this one.

I'm glad to hear it was good though!!

message 1070: by MsBeaglely (new)

MsBeaglely | 50 comments I stayed up late last night to finish Three Days to Dead (Dreg City, #1) by Kelly Meding . Definitely Urban Fantasy, with very little romance, which was nice for a change. It was good, but also very dark. If anyone remembers the movie Dark City with Keifer Sutherland & how dark the effects made the city look, that’s how I visualized the world of this book.

Started The Reckoners by Doranna Durgin this morning.

message 1071: by Carolyn F. (new)

Carolyn F. I finished Dark Needs at Night's Edge and enjoyed the book. I'm now reading Tekgrrl.

So do I! Well, and purses. I have a real thing for purses!

message 1081: by Dawn, Desperately seeking new worlds (new)

Dawn (dawnv) | 4058 comments haha this is so funny because I have a book budget.
I split it in half so I can buy at least one book every two weeks unless I do a paperbackswapcom exchange.

message 1082: by [deleted user] (new)

I just started Jacquelyn Frank's Hunting Julian yesterday, and already I love it like cake. :D

I have to try that, because that is my one vice-I spend way too much on books!!! It's a sickness and I should find a support group. LOL

Jess ~ I just finished this one and liked it more than the first one. I think that is because the world was more set up and there was a lot of comic relief with the relationship between Kara and Ryan. Kara is also able to get real friends that "know" about her now.

message 1089: by Valorie (new)

Valorie I finished Spider's Bite (Elemental Assassin, #1) by Jennifer Estep by Jennifer Estep. I LOVED IT!!! Fantastic Urban Fantasy book!!! I could not put it down. I can't wait to read the next book in the series! I'm now reading and almost finished with Nice Girls Don't Live Forever (Jane Jameson, #3) by Molly Harper by Molly Harper, which I am loving also. Hilariously funny and charming book! I've loved all three books in the series. I'm now moving on to Night of the Wolves by Heather Graham by Heather Graham.

Same here. I think I need to add on a library to my house just to store all my books.

message 1093: by Danielle (new)

Danielle (Smiley1881) | 159 comments I'm now reading Birthright by Nora Roberts. I picked it because it was supposed to be about some cursed archeological dig but ends up being boring with no paranormal activity at all. I wouldn't suggest this one.

Dawn (dawnv) | 4058 comments I just finished Adrian Phoenix's book, Beneath the Skin. Beneath the Skin (The Maker's Song, #3) by Adrian Phoenix
Wow what a crappy read, I mean why did we have government agency POV characters?? I mean who cares about them?? Then reliving the Dante and Chole's past, not sure what I should take from that.

Hope the next book is wayyyy better. Did anyone else like it?

It's kinda funny, poor Greg, lol I'm just at the part after she got stabeed, and at her friends house. Will finish this up in the next hour or two, three at most but I doubt it.

message 1099: by Ellen (new)

Ellen (ellenpenleysmith) I finished The Reckoning (Darkest Powers, #3) by Kelley Armstrong in one sitting. And I am now reading Catching Fire (Hunger Games, #2) by Suzanne Collins . Either I'm reading faster than normal or these books fly by really quickly! :/

message 1100: by Melodie (new)

Melodie (melodieco) Reading Kiss Of Death (The Morganville Vampires, #8) by Rachel Caine . Ran to Walmart and they had it already!
