Amanda Orlich Ahern (kittymeowxcore) | 29 comments I'm reading Betrayed (House of Night, #2) by P.C. Cast

Unapologetic_Bookaholic I am continuing [zombie horror/ military intrigue:] Patient Zero. Its really the only way I'd read a military themed novel w/o romance, lol.

I haven't picked December's challenges yet, am still finishing November's LOL. But the biggie challenges start at midnight so I'd better get my lists ready.

Shannon (theholyterror) Started Divine Misdemeanors (Meredith Gentry, #8) by Laurell K. Hamilton yesterday. We got it in early at work and we can check out strict on sale titles so I'm glad I brought back Under the Dome on Thursday!

message 10: by Shannon (last edited Dec 05, 2009 09:07AM) (new)

Shannon (theholyterror) When do I have to take it back? 2 weeks from now : )

I'll probably finish it tonight though.

Amanda Orlich Ahern (kittymeowxcore) | 29 comments Chosen (House of Night, #3) by P.C. Cast

I went to Borders the other day, and jotted down some authors that look interesting. I read on a Kindle, so I usually browse the bookstores to see what looks neat.

Kathryn Smith and probably Gena Showalter

Unapologetic_Bookaholic Picked up an on hold title tonight:

Tempting the Beast v Lora Leigh

Unapologetic_Bookaholic I am enjoying The Forest of Hands and Teeth so much. I added the next book from author Carrie Ryan to my TBR pile. Dead Tossed Waves. Its not often I look forward to new books, from debut authors. But I like zombie novels/movies and this one is gritty AND romantic. Its YA and really very good! I am glad I decided to look for it in the ILL system, or I would have been missing out.

The second book I have been reading tonight [sense I just signed on tonight to check messages. I actually got to read TWO books, lol:] was Lora Leigh's Tempting the Beast. I started with THE MAN WITHIN b /c I had to send that one out in a swap. So I am piecing together the series from Book 4 [I think:]. Its weired b/c the 2 in Book #2 are of course set-up in Book #1 and I've read Book#2, lol. Oh well. LOL. I am enjoying the fierce hotness that are the Breeds.

Make sure you don't read the synopsis for Dead Tossed Waves, it has a bunch of spoilers! I absolutely loved The Forest of Hands and Teeth and can't wait for the next installment.

Unapologetic_Bookaholic Shannon: The blurb I read on Carrie Ryan's site didn't give me a clear idea if it was a prequel or sequel. But then I read part of an ARC review and got a better idea.

I am looking forward to Dead Tossed Waves too. Hopefully I'll have read enough books off my TBR pile to justify buying a new book, lol.

message 16: by Shannon (new)

Shannon (theholyterror) I finished Divine Misdemeanors (Meredith Gentry, #8) by Laurell K. Hamilton last night, here's my review if anyone is curious, and now I'm starting The Dead Girls' Dance (The Morganville Vampires, #2) by Rachel Caine . I read the first Morganville book a while ago and I can't remember what happened at the end. I think I have to dig it out and read the last few chapters to refresh. I hate when that happens.

message 17: by Paula (new)

Paula (pauldajo) Finished On the Edge and I just finished listening to Shakespeare's Champion and started Shakespeare's Christmas. I'm pretty sure that I wouldn't enjoyed the written form, but the oral form of the book is nice. I'll listen to the entire Lily Bard series.

message 18: by Paula (new)

Paula (pauldajo) I started Lament The Faerie Queen's Deception. I have no idea whether or not it's a good book.

Unapologetic_Bookaholic I finished:
The Forest of Hands and Teeth (Audio CD) by Carrie Ryan Tempting the Beast (Breeds, #1) by Lora Leigh

Both very, very good. Total opposites in content, but that's how I am in my reading.

Currrent reads:
Broken by Megan Hart

message 20: by Katt (new)

Katt Finished A Kiss of Shadows (Meredith Gentry, #1) by Laurell K. Hamilton
not sure if I liked it. Liked some of it,but not all.
Starting A Quick Bite (Argeneau, #1) by Lynsay Sands

Unapologetic_Bookaholic I read a little bit more of Sword of Darkness by Sherrilyn Kenyon a.k.a Kinley Macgreor. I do like the fact that the heroine does not absolutely love but just sorta likes the hero juuuust enough to want to feel him inside her. Hehehehehehe.

Overall I don't think I'll like this series as much as Dark Hunters but I do like the characters and Arthurian world.

message 22: by Paula (new)

Paula (paula717) | 19 comments Just started Red Headed Stepchild by Jaye Wells, yesterday. It got my attention right from the start. So far, so good.

Sarah | 276 comments I'm double teaming with Divine Misdemeanors and Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, mostly because I have both on loan from the library and both have reserves after me.

message 29: by Amanda (new)

message 30: by Paula (new)

Paula (pauldajo) I finished the Lily Bard series by Charlaine Harris on audiobook. It was a nice series and I liked the narrator's voice. I may have had trouble reading the books, but listening to them was great.

I'm back to reading Unbound and Lament The Faerie Queen's Deception.

message 31: by Eye-I (new)

Eye-I (adenaofda) | 1 comments I just finished Blood Bound by Patricia Briggs last night. I loved the Mercy Thompson series. I just picked up Nora Roberts' Dance Upon the Air. I hope it's good. I want to try something different than my usual stories I read.

message 32: by Shannon (new)

Shannon (theholyterror) I started both Bloody Good by Georgia Evans and [image error] yesterday. Bloody Good is different than anything I've read, in a good way. Wolfsbane and Mistletoe has been kind of hit-or-miss, but that's how it normally is for me and anthologies.

message 33: by Amanda (new)

Amanda (aeriga) i finished [image error] , and now im reading Gone (Gone 1) by Michael Grant , I haven't heard too much on this book and the beginning doesn't seem to be too interesting

Hey yeah I'll take it =D. That I can except b/c its apart of a series I am wanting to complete.

Unapologetic_Bookaholic I like how you break down your reading Katt =D It is nice to get a little bit about each book.

Unapologetic_Bookaholic Current reads:
Destined for an Early Grave (Night Huntress, #4) by Jeaniene Frost Mine to Possess (Psy-Changeling, #4) by Nalini Singh Broken by Megan Hart

I am averaging a liking of the books so far. Nothing to moon over but I enjoy each author, so the stories are def. worth getting into.

message 43: by Valorie (new)

Valorie I just finished Red (Dead World, #1) by Jordan Summers and really enjoyed it. It was kind of a Sci-Fi-ish paranormal romance about werewolves. A really good 1st book in the series. A really strong heroine lead character, which I love! I moving on to Eve of Destruction (Marked, Book 2) by S.J. Day next.

Unapologetic_Bookaholic
Finished:
Destined for an Early Grave (Night Huntress, #4) by Jeaniene Frost

[Today's:] Current reads:
