Genetically engineered designer people are coming. Explore the frightening potential of the very real technology called CRISPR, as seen through this hard science fiction thriller about a young scientist and entrepreneur who navigates the world of greed, corporate espionage and international intrigue. It is "a nice follow up after watching the CRISPR documentary on Netflix" – Amazon reviewer. ReEvolution, a crispr novel on Amazon.

Just published "Patricia" on Amazon in paperbook and Kindle. Enjoy the adventures of Gregory Allen Gray.
It's a time travel novel about a man who wins a lottery, finds the woman of his dreams, studies computers for something to do, and creates a computer that can send him into the future and back.
100 years in the future a man approaches and asks, "Mr. Gray?"
Greg is startled. How and why would anyone in this time period know of him?

Hi Bob, I found it interesting that you mention solar sail space ships in your post. I also mention them in my book, "Patricia".
Hello to all! I am happy to announce that my 25th ebook, a sci-fi novel titled UNITED STATES SPACE CORPS, is finished and available for free online and on demand, like all my other books.
1973 ‘C’: General Ingrid Dows, the commander of the newly formed United States Space Corps, has just returned from a two-year mission to Mars and is now working hard to shape her new command and continue to lead the American space program. While a few Earth-bound crisis will also occupy her, she will prepare the United States for its next big adventure in Space: a manned return exploration mission to Jupiter and Saturn. What will its crew discover during such a journey?
The UNITED STATES SPACE CORS is the sequel of FROM THE FIELDS OF CRIMEA TO THE SANDS OF MARS. This novel is available for free on Free-Ebooks.net or can be ordered directly, also for free, from the author by sending a request via email at natai@videotron.ca, specifying in which electronic format you wish to receive your copy of it (PDF, Epub, Kindle). You may visit my author's page on Goodreads by clicking on my picture visible at the top left corner of this entry. DO NOT USE THE 'ADD BOOK/AUTHOR' link, as it will send you to a page taken by some impostor with my name who is illegally featuring my books, along with other books which have no connection with me. I am in the process of arranging with the Goodreads staff to have this guy taken out.

I'm new to this forum and really terrible and awkward at self promotion, but here I am trying to talk about my recently published adventure science fiction novel, The Mortal God.
I'm really hoping to get a few reviews for the book, and have several physical copies in hand to send out if anyone is interested. I could also send an ebook copy if that is preferred. Below is the back cover/blurb:
“You are not a hero. You are a soldier. What you do…it’s not noble. It’s your duty.”
These were the words that Commander Kyle Griffin lived by. For 25 years, he played the part. He was a good soldier. He was the ultimate soldier. A mutant, born of royal blood, gifted with the cosmic power of the Celestial Spark, he was everything the Dominion Army had hoped for. He brought them countless victories, leading legions of their ferocious army against the meager rebellion known as the Splinter.
He and his team of elite Infinity Force operatives had the war all but won. Until he finally met an adversary that he couldn’t defeat: the truth.
Stripped of his rank and title and cast out of the only life he’s ever known, he’ll travel across the galaxy to find new allies to support his obsession with winning the war…and provide him with a singular opportunity for the revenge that his rage demands.
Will he be strong enough to win the fight of his life? He’ll soon find out.

So that's it. I appreciate any and all interest!

I am also new to this site, and hoping to interest potential reviewers for my first book: "Stone Fever: Erebus Tales, Book1". The 2nd in the series, "The Color of Greed", is also out, and the finalé, "Gifts of a Dark God", will come out this year. Their genré is best described as sci-fi/first contact/Western, with several Y.A. elements. Here's the pitch:
How would isolated nomads react to four strangers from the other side of the world? Stone Fever explores this idea, with a twist. In post-climate-changed 24th-century Antarctica, two teens in the Onwei tribe of cattle-herders, headstrong Luz Hogarth and orphan junior gaucho Joaquin, stumble upon a flying machine stranded in a crater after a crash landing. It has brought four “Sky-Bornes,” among them enigmatic Keltyn SparrowHawk, a Cree Indian geology prodigy. Her mission is to find the strategic mineral iridium, the same as the iris stone from which Luz’s mother Trieste makes jewelry for the tribeswomen.
My platform is: https://www.facebook.com/stonefeverbook/
You can get the e-book on Amazon for $1 , or I'll be happy to send you a free pdf, epub or mobi-file version, for an honest review.

So, as a freebie, I have uploaded the entire second chapter (The Honorable Suleon Preed) from Elsuon - The Stonecutter's Son.
This will enable all the visitors to this page to read my first novel and see if my style, pace, characters, and designs are consonant with their tastes.
If so, great! I extend to you the opportunity to read the first installment of Elsuon now available here on GoodReads.
If not, no problem! Now you have one less distraction in your life.

I hope all are safe and whole and NOT suffering from COVID19 directly . . . suffering from it indirectly is bad enough what with shortages and lockdowns.
In late 2019 I self-published my first sci-fi novel, titled COMMANDER: Into the Future, Book 1, which can be found on Amazon, Google Books, and Barnes & Noble.
The first two books are prequel and sequel, to set up the universe and begin setting the backstory. There follows six more novels, each set in the same universe and proceeding out of the backstory.
If anyone is interested in finding out a bit more about this sci-fi universe I dreamed, you can read more about all the novels on my website, at www.jamesdheritage.com.
Actually, I have written over twenty novels in multiple genres, including scif-fi, fantasy, thriller/action/adventure, and western. It seems once I started, I could not stop . . . it was addicting.
I really only started as a hobby for my own amusement. I had no initial intentions to publish at all. Later, after some encouragement by beta-readers and some members of my family, I took the chance and invested in a good editor and a cover art designer. (I had hoped that sales would be maybe good enough to pay for the editing and cover for the next book! Hmm, not yet.)
Like any (every!) other author, I am always looking for beta-readers and honest reviews.
Thanks for reading this. If you wish to contact me, I am a membe here at Goodreads, and you can reach me through my website as well.

I just finished a near-future cyberpunk trilogy in which an unemployed bipolar journalist and her hacktivist friends try to stop a giant media corporation and a corrupt president from controlling the world. The first book, Sleep State Interrupt, was a Compton Crook finalist for best first speculative fiction novel.
If you'd like to take a look, the first two books are out: Sleep State Interrupt and The Wrath of Leviathan. The final book, Zero-Day Rising, comes out Sep. 1 (See Sharp Press).

I've published two books in a planned trilogy. They're sci-fi adventure novels set in the 26th century.

An expedition launches to explore this mysterious planet, encountering both enchanting wonders and terrifying dangers.

Ultima Meridian--The home planet of the Fifth Civilization has been colonized by the other four alien races. With a love of science fiction and a fascination with the World War II era, I have woven the two together in my first novel, Flash Back. The main protagonist, Sam Reilly, finds himself in a world where China is the sole nuclear power.
Assigned to a new project secretly working on time travel, Sam journeys to the Hyde Park neighborhood of Chicago in 1942. While there he investigates the murder of a leading scientist. A murder which appeared to him in a dream. He is eventually faced with the dilemma of if he should attempt to prevent the murder and change the past.

Hey There!
I hope you and your family is safe during this time of crisis. I recently made an online book chatting website called- http://book-talks.com. Book-Talks is a platform where passionate readers like you and me and book readers from around the world can come and chat about their favourite books. For e.g. If you’ve read a very famous book then why not chat about the book with readers who have read the same book – share your thoughts on the book, the best moments and scenes in the book, post a fan edit for a part of the book you liked or disliked or even share some real-life experiences that you can easily relate with the book. I really really wish you would check Book-Talks and contribute in its aim for connecting book readers all over the world. Lastly, as said by Lloyd Alexander books are the best form of an adventure then why not share your adventure with others and also be of their adventures.
(PS: Thank you for spending your precious time reading this message. Everyone starts with that one subscriber, one follower and today I am doing that with my site so the biggest thank you to the very first visitors of my website. I Pinkie Promise that you will love Book-Talks and Book-Talks loves you back for visiting it.... Thanks again!! Have a wonderful day!)

I'm offering free Mobi versions of the book to anyone interested in reviewing it! All sanctioned by the author of course :) Let me know if you're interested! Email me at: info@rosereid.com or comment below.

My name is J.C. Gemmell, and I’m extremely proud to share my first novel, Tionsphere, with you all today.
I began work in 2014, and it has been through several drafts (and sat on the shelf) several times. It will be followed up by a second novel, Uprisers, in early 2021.
I have been fascinated by population growth for many years, and these books represent my thoughts as to how we might adapt to a continued exponential rise in people; but fundamentally, this is a story about people living in an overcrowded, distracted by their technology and threatened by a life without it.
I’d be delighted to answer any questions about Tionsphere and welcome your comments.
Best regards, JC.

If you prefer your women doing the kicking of xxx and taking of names, we have you covered. Over the past few weeks, I have been re-watching my Bond collection. Dr No, sees Ursula "Honey Ryder" stating she killed the man who raped and abused her with a spider, if memory serves. Sean replies, "Well don't make a habit of it.", pretty rich coming from a guy who had killed six up to that point in the film. Ah, different times, we simply seek to redress the balance. As a side note, when Sean is attacked by a tarantula in bed, there is a sheet of glass clearly visible shielding him. Such a hero, though to be fair I would have been in the other building, screaming "Get my Agent!".
End of June the first novel,

Falls off Kindle Unlimited. I am grateful to all those who availed themselves during this time. Once that happens, if it works, I shall be offering a free download on Amazon for a few days, probably around 4th July. When the deal expires, I shall then sign the book back up with the Unlimited again. Amazon only allow a single promotion, either for price reduction or free, once in three month period and this should help get it round that small hurdle. We did the reduction prior to joining Goodreads.
The new novel, Trader - War, is now at around 64 thousand words, the first draft is expected to be completed and coincide with the above. After numerous revisions, corrections and edits, it should be out by Christmas.
As a teaser, No 3 in the blog on this site has a prologue of the third installment likely entitled Trader - Rebellion. The spelling is correct, beyond that I offer no guarantees.
"The journey, Not the destination matters..." - T.S. Eliot
Open to comment and Ask the Author, any reviews either here or on Amazon are most welcome, good or bad. First couple of chapters from Prelude are available on Amazon with the Look Inside and free to all.
All the Best,
CC

Hello all Sci Fi Readers,
I have written my first book - As Time Narrows. A story about humanity's last gasp. Years of war, famine and pestilence have eroded the population from a multitude of 8 billion to a barely present 200 thousand strewn over multiple continents. The huddled masses have been reduced to little factions; whose sole purpose is to keep on living. Now, after years of watching the skies, a group of scientists have discovered a far off signal that can provide hope.
What does the message represent? What is the connection to the past? Time is the one thing the scientists don't have!
https://www.neoleafpress.com/book-rev...
"This present tense novel is filled with beautiful and moving imagery which gives you goose bumps at times."
I welcome you to read and share your reviews.
Sincerely,
Tony Brunal

Hope everyone is well. As a way to acknowledge completion of the first draft of Trader- War, months of revisions and editing lie ahead. :(

The first book in the Series Trader - Prelude will be free to download on Amazon from the 4th to the 8th (inclusive). I had planned to extend this to the 14th, however this is the maximum permissible. Curse you Amazon.
I wanted to go from Independence day to Bastille day, but the powers will not allow this. The book is still available, it appears on Kindle Unlimited regardless.
We could have included
On the 3rd
Disobedience Day
Compliment Your Mirror Day
But alas no.
We will however be acknowledging
Independence Day on the 4th
Work-A-Holics and NHS Anniversay on the 5th
International Kissing Day on the 6th
Chocolate on the 7th
and finally Video Games on the 8th.
I am especially sad to miss out on
Teddy Bear Picnic on the 10th (Keira's Teddy will be deeply unhappy)
Cheer up the lonely on 11th
Different Coloured Eyes on 12th
Fool's Paradise on the 13th, including
Barbershop Music Appreciation and
Embrace your Geekness
Finally
Bastille Day on the 14th with
Pandemonium Day
National Nude
and lastly
Be A Dork, Tapioca Pudding days on the 15th
If you feel compelled to include a review, either here or on Amazon, I thank you. Certainly not a requirement and good or bad all are welcome.
As a heads up for those whom it may interest or otherwise. This is primarily Sci-Fi including Action, Adventure and Romance. We touch base with War both Corporate and Interstellar, Travel, Betrayal and Space battles, all with a strong female lead. If you take issues with Lesbians, Violence or Profanity you may wish to give this a miss. Not one for the children :)
Take care, have fun and celebrate anyway during this ongoing crisis.
Regards
CC

Also, how do you guys add a photo of your book cover in these posts? I used HTML to link to an image hosted on my website. Is there an easier way?

The usual method is to click on the "add book/author' top right of the of the Comment box when adding one.
Alas I was unable to find your book this way, though 100 other pages turned up for 'I, of the storm' as a search. If it is in there it can be normally added.

I did follow the link to yourself and could find the book by that means. Its odd and it might be worth a post in the Librarian section to have them check the database entry.
Indirectly I found it by author, once populated to the one below, ;)

Superficial Intelligence is an absurdist satire centered around one man's transformation from human to robotic, reality TV star. "A perfect combination of near-future sci-fi, comedy, and social commentary." (Amazon Review). Think Ex Machina meets Real Housewives of wherever. The first-person narrative gives the book a truly unique voice and offers non-stop laughs.
As we are faced with the downfall of society, sci-fi and laughter offer an outlet. Hope you all can check it out, put it on your list.
Free for Kindle Unlimited users (7/18), so please check it out. I would greatly appreciate any ratings/reviews. (Amazon Link)

600ppm, A Novel of Climate Change, published in 2015, concerns a young man named Jeff, who, in the year 2051, must figure out why his best friend was framed for a murder and sentenced to prison. The Unnaturals
Hello everyone! I am brand new to the group, as well as brand new to Goodreads in general. "The Unnaturals" is my debut, self-published Dystopian Novel and I would love some feedback!
Blurb:UN-27 is a member of the fiercest fighting force the world has ever known: The Unnaturals.
His human masters have raised and trained him in isolation for as long as he can remember. In that time, they have molded he and his fellow super-soldiers to fulfill a single purpose: protect the Puritan city from the abominations outside of the Great Dome. For centuries, the Puritans remained isolated from the sinful, globalized societies of the world. When the Calamity finally claimed the planet, the Puritans were vindicated. Until the survivors outside approached. Beings that were once human have become something… else.
When his first mission in defense of the Puritan city goes horribly awry, UN-27 will soon discover that perhaps the only source of information he has ever known cannot be trusted and that the abominations existing in the shattered remnants of the world are more than they appear. Will he be able to reconcile the violence of his upbringing with the catastrophic consequences it carries? Or will the legacy of thousands of years of senseless hate claim him?
“This dystopian tale explores the impending state of our planet in which plausible, yet wildly fantastic concepts of human evolution, climate change, and political ideologies are played out.” - Rhianon Eleoff, Editor - DreamVAServices

If Mina is to escape the Lostai, she must trust an arrogant and unpleasant soldier whose morals seem questionable, at best. The strong attraction between them both annoys and unnerves her.
Even if she gets away, she will need to survive in this alien environment while evading the Lostai. Will she ever make it back to Earth, or have her actions already changed her destiny and the fate of those who assist her?

"Author's Note: The Atomic Horrors and Great Quakes of the late Twentieth Century combined with the Great Pollution Waves of the Early Twenty First produced a tired and dirty world badly in need of a new work-force. Thus were born the genetic up-lifts of the early Twenty-First Century, as species after species was uplifted into sentience to stand alongside Man in his quest for dominance and greed over an already ravaged world. It is in this setting that the following tale takes place..."
Henry Flaatphut is an inspector with InterSpec (that's like Interpol for the Interspecies Council, only with about a tenth the respect); a former hacker of rather proficient talents, he now has a boring desk job with his secretary Miss Calico (5 and a half foot bipedal calico cat), and a literal badger for a boss who 300-lb bulk constantly gives the grav-servoes of his chair quite a workout. A boaring job until someone comes into his office that starts him on a case that has him chasing high and llow across the New York City metrodome, running afoul of a variety of nefarious characters trying to solve the case before millions of people can be slaughtered. Naturally along the way he bumps into she who could be "The One"; the only problem is, she's working for the other side.
My Flaatphut stories (Oh, he's picky about how you pronounce his last name, so say it right) are the ones I do between volumes of the big epics. Some tongue-in-cheek fun and occasional humorous social commentary. Picture him as a sort of futuristic James Rockford, only without nearly as good luck. :)
