Welcome Lucy!Happy birthday, Shannon!
@Shan ~A~: I had never heard of Passionflix, thanks for talking about it. I'll have to check it out!
:-)
Here's some musical books as recommended by the captains group! (I only have 3 books left for the month so any one feel free to grab)The Rosie Project
Will Grayson, Will Grayson
Once More with Feeling
Just a heads up that my previously read book Make a Killing: A Billie Levine Mystery works for "Read a book where two people with different religions interact"I just started another book that has a Y character (I have it listed as South Korea but since that is a level 1 country it can be moved )
Shan ~A~ wrote: "Thank you, Amanda! I should have time to catch up with everything since it's the weekend and I don't have any plans (that I know of). Does anyone here have Passionflix, and if so, have you seen t..."
OMG. I am so excited for this series! Planning a reread sometime this year.
I'm a little overwhelmed with everything at the moment. I'm trying to slowly catch up. But for now, I'm reading Ninth House by Leigh Bardugo. If this is somehow helpful.
I don't think I will get to the BOM What the River Knows in time. Libby says there is still a two week wait.
question, because mini 1 still confuses me..if the author and or mc is Iranian, we can use that for Iran?
Sorry Amanda - another question. So can I not post any more books till the 17th? How does that work now?
MN Lisa wrote: "question, because mini 1 still confuses me..if the author and or mc is Iranian, we can use that for Iran?"
Author born there or set there 50% or more
Trio wrote: "Sorry Amanda - another question. So can I not post any more books till the 17th? How does that work now?"You can put them on the banked books tab! At the very least at the end we're going to want to make sure all the highest page counts make it on. If you read something specifically for one of the tasks, let me know and I'll swap out with one of your other books.
I'm in the same boat right now! It sucks because usually I'm in a slumpy mood about now and I'm speed reading so I way underestimated.

Lucy if there's anything we can do to help let me know! If you at least put your books read from May 17 onward on your Tower shelf then I can help you figure out the spreadsheet! Or if you understand the spreadsheet and just are overwhelmed by the minis just put them on the sheet and we will fit them in if they can!
And this goes for everyone, if the spreadsheet is too much you don't have to use it! You can post in here and and one of us captains can add to the spreadsheet. Just include:Book:
Author (and where from):
Setting:
Characters (as many as you can):
Narrator if listened to audio
Translator if translated
Mini fits for (or we can add this)
I haven't been putting the narrators because I didn't see a spot for it on the SS. Most of my books are audio. Sorry about that. I just Author & Character.
That’s okay! I keep forgetting too Shan. You can put it in any of the character spots and just put (N)
question for KEBAB in title: does that include the series title as well? looking at The Woman in Cabin 10 and it includes series title
Amanda wrote: "That’s okay! I keep forgetting too Shan. You can put it in any of the character spots and just put (N)"Thanks!
okay thank you!! I'm trying to see if I can find something for KEBAB and/or author born in turkey to help get through. I have a 5 hour road trip this weekend so seeing what I can get through :)
I did notice Five Broken Blades fits KEBAB but unsure if anyone has something on their radar or any ideas for turkish author books?
& If You Tell: A True Story of Murder, Family Secrets, and the Unbreakable Bond of Sisterhood - but I can't find on my libby or hoopla
*actually I found one for KEBAB if no one else is reading for it yet (can finish in the next few days)
I'm going to be getting The Circus Train out of the library for the train on cover task unless anyone has a book already lined up for it. Just want to make sure I didn't miss a message
The chipmunks enjoyed their trip to Bruny Island, but forgot it was winter down under and they got a bit cold!! So back to Italy and they have thrown some Mozzarella into your Tower!!
Mozzarella
Mozzarella cheese originated in Italy, mainly in the region of Campania, which includes cities like Naples. It has been produced in this region for centuries, using traditional methods handed down through generations.

Mozzarella cheese is a popular type of cheese known for its smooth, creamy texture and mild flavour. It is commonly used in Italian cuisine, particularly pizza, pasta, and salads. It is a semi-soft cheese made using cow's milk or buffalo milk, but some variations are made from goat or sheep milk as well.

Lucy, I was mistaken on what books we can use. It's from June 7th forward! Sorry about that. So feel free to add anything from June 7th forward :)

Darn. Kiss and Tell doesn't work. Author is Iranian-American
Woohoo we finished Argentina! I'm off to get us a new country.I've also reached my cap and we've used all my books so can't switch out for any banks so I will be watching from the background lol
We're going to Canada next! All books used in Canada must be completed on or after today! Much easier tasks (except for Moose on cover!)
I updated the spreadsheet for our new place - Canada!!!If I remember correctly, books will have to be finished on or after this date?
Do you know where I can find my limit? I have 47 books on here and I do plan to read most in June, but I'm not sure how the months go....Am I over if I finish all?I feel like I should know this, but I just can't seem to remember.
Members tab on the official sheet! https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/... (plus anything not marked "moved" on the planning sheet)Here's a countdown to round 2: https://www.timeanddate.com/countdown...
So you can read 6 books over the next 3ish days. But if you have ones that are low page count and have not been used for either mini and/or cheese we can swap out for higher page counts or books that fit into minis.
The chipmunks have eaten enough pizza and decided it was time to lob a Hungarian favourite through your window.
Pálpusztai
The production of Pálpiusztai cheese originated as a family business in Győr-Ménfőcsanak since the beginning of the 20th century. It is one of the few traditional Hungarian cheeses, although its history does not go back too far yet.

Pálpusztai cheese is famous for its characteristically strong, piquant, slightly ammoniacal bouquet, which is characteristic of all smear-ripened cheeses. The cheese dough is soft, with at most a few small fermentation or curd holes. Its flavour develops during ripening, and it may become runny during storage.

Amanda wrote: "All we need to finish the Cheese is a Z if anyone has one coming up!"If it can be a book that's already been read. I finished a book a few days ago with a character named Zack. I haven't posted it to the SS yet.
It can be! Just has to be after the start of the first cheese (either the 20th or 30th of May I can’t remember)
Shan ~A~ wrote: "Then it will work. I'm doing some updating now"Can you double check the title of "Rock Chick Regret"? Im only seeing Rock Chick Reckoning on your shelf and am wondering if you accidentally put the wrong thing?
