Team Eiffel Tower
question, I noticed fantasy books are allowed based on real worlds.do you think
would work for the task Read a book which has the main location (setting) on the Asian continent it's set in a fantasy version of china, it seems like*also bonus because it works for another challenge I'm working on lol*
I'm a planner, so I added the books I know I have to read from the 17th to the end of the month. If you finish a book and it works for one of my prompts, feel free to take it. Just remember to remove the Code from Column G for my book so I know it needs to be re-assigned.

Okay I have a question that has been bouncing around in my brain. For tower teams, we can read the books at any time during the challenge? We just have to follow the order of the mini challenges to claim points?
Example:
If I read a book in France, but it's not needed yet, can we bank it for a future mini? Or do we have to read books fresh once the tasks become available?
Does that make any sense? I'm trying to organize the timing of my TBR.

Wanted to double check on this book, but I put
down as having a river on the cover. It has squiggly lines with lily pads and gators in it, so I thought that was a river, specifically the Nile river. Do you guys also think this works for having a river on the cover (even though its kind of abstract)?

Only for the Traveling Around the World mini you can use banked books. The other 2 you cannot

I think it's a River
Okay that’s good to know… I wasn’t sure. I am going to then just put books on that I know I will be finishing soon. We can always hold off finishing a book until it’s ready to be needed if necessary because they just need to be started after the beginning of the challenge.I’m ready!
Happy reading team!! Officially started 😎 Very excited for this challenge!! Also if any of you recommend or read any fav books during this challenge please feel free to post, always looking for good reads (not like my tbr is already long enough)
Woot woot! It's started! About to crack open my first book! Also, Haley, the Emily Wilde book you are reading is set in a fictious country that is supposed to be Iceland. I don't know if that counts for the country or not.
Good Morning All. I am going to have to bow out of this round. I received news this morning that my cousins dad is not doing well and will not last much longer. I am heading to Maine for I am not sure how long and I don't want to hurt the team. I'm so sorry 😞
Rebecca, looks like I was wrong. We can bank books for Mini 2 & 3, just not Mini 1
Amanda wrote: "Only for the Traveling Around the World mini you can use banked books. The other 2 you cannot"
This was correct.
Mini 2 - Travelling Around the World - you can bank books for.
Mini 1 and Mini 3 do not allow for banked books.

Welcome Lindsay!! How does the new task work? Also I found this that can work for a character with a sculptor for one of our tasks:
*just an jdea*
That's a great book too Haley! So when we finish a task on mini 2 a new task will populate. This time it's "Read a book that is in the Foreign Lands List"

hi everyone, just checking in to all my threads - I'm hoping to have some time tomorrow to get caught up.
Amanda wrote: "Shan, please add A Time to Kill and About that Night to your shelf"Done! I got so used to skipping over it that I forgot I needed to start adding books to it.
Teresa wrote: "Good Morning All. I am going to have to bow out of this round. I received news this morning that my cousins dad is not doing well and will not last much longer. I am heading to Maine for I am not s..."I'm sorry to hear that Teresa, sending virtual hugs to you & your family!
I have a question...if we do a "task" from Mini 2, are we also making sure it's from a specific country or it doesn't have to be part of the Itinerary?
just dropping this here: has some ideas for the tasks on mini 2 & 3 :) https://www.goodreads.com/blog/show/2...
like space ship, character that visits coral reef
Question about - Read a book set in your home state/countryCan we just use country if we are in the US?
I at first put in a USA book but I think the fact that it is two different means that it is state if you’re in the US country if not, otherwise they’d just put home country!
Amanda wrote: "Does not have to be in the itinerary! Each book can only be used for one of the minis"Awesome! Thank you for clearing that up for me.
:-)

Thank you, Haley! I have Project Hail Mary on my TBR so I can definitely do that one for space. :-)
I loved Project Hail Mary!!!I've heard amazing things about - The Lion Women of Tehran. I have it on hold, but won't put it on the sheet until I see if the library comes through.
I read that one a couple months back and it’s so good too! I thought it would just be okay but was definitely even better than expected
Amanda wrote: "I hope you love it Reed! Lisa and I buddy read it earlier this year and very much enjoyed it"Oh awesome! I received a copy for Christmas last year so it's time to dust it off!
enjoyed project Hail Mary!! Although I remember rating 3 (but I blame it on how I’m not the biggest of fans of science fiction) the book overall was good though!! Adding the lion Tehran to my tbr for this challenge, maybe I’ll find at the library

I also absolutely loved Project Hail Mary I think they're making it into a movie as well in 2026
Hello everyone! I just got added in so I'm here checking in! Here's my shelf - ttxiI'm from Tennessee. Favorite place I've travelled is the Blue Ridge Mountains in North Carolina. Bucket list is anywhere outside of the US! I love it here but definitely want to travel more!
I'm going to browse around and see what I should be looking at for my TBR...
