Irish author Jess Kidd's new novel, Murder at Gulls Nest, is the first of what I bet will be a popular new cosy mystery series. Former nun Nora Breen is exasperatingly 'helpful' to a local detective. 😊

The Third Man is the classic Graham Greene post WW2 mystery set in occupied Vienna. It has been produced in many formats, text, script, film, and this fully dramatised version I refer to as a radio play. So good!

Hello mystery lovers! I recently added a review for Kate Hardy's "The Body at the Roman Baths." This is the 5th and most recent book in the Georgina Drake series and it's giving palpable amateur sleuth energy with a high stakes mystery connected to all the characters.Kate Hardy has a really clever premise for layering in multiple mysteries and creating an incredibly likable cast of characters, especially with Georgina who is a super smart sleuther finding her way after love and loss.

Garry Disher is an author you can rely on to tell a good Aussie story without any g'days or howyagoinmates. His characters are just honest cops (or crooks!) and their people and places. I like Alan Auhl, a rebooted detective, with his power back on after being taken out of retirement to investigate cold cases Under the Cold Bright Lights.

I finished the newest in Mel Starr's series The Way of the Wicked
. Excellent series. I have read all of them. Mr. Starr does a great job of growing his characters over time. Although there is 17 books in the series it is still well written and interesting. Highly recommend this series but start with book 1.

I finished a very good historical mystery The Twilight Queen
by Jeri Westerson. Book 2 in series. Set in King Henry VIII court 1536. Our main character Will is the court Jester. The book is very witty, strong characters and very good History. I highly recommend this series but start with book 1.
