Patty | 4509 comments I’m currently reading an advanced reader copy of The Bachelorette Party by Camilla Sten. When I read the title I thought it was going to be a bunch of boozing rich women being knocked off one-by-one. Then I saw who the author was. This is my third book by her and—even though there will eventually be boozy broads—it is so good. I needed this. So far, so good. Check her out.

I've finished reading The Mouthless Dead by Anthony Quinn (finished a while back but I've been really busy since). It is based on a true (and very cold) murder case, that of Julia Wallace in 1931, in which William Herbert Wallace was convicted, sentenced and then acquitted for the crime. The book presents a theory that in real life no one would have considered in a hundred years, but I think that's what made the reading interesting.

Starting Spook Street now -- I love these books and I love the series.

This is the kind of post that makes me want to read the poster's review of the book.

I finished Tooth and Claw, a Longmire novella, by Craig Johnson which was set before most of the Longmire series. It reminded me a lot of The Terror by Dan Simmons.
