Congratulations!

I should stay away from your list, but I just can't. I find so many good reads. Thankfully, some I've already read; others I simply add to mount TBR in hopes that I will someday get to them.

I do the "A" version of the challenge and hope what I read hits the "B" goal as well. I've lucked out the last few years, but don't know that I will be fortunate this year. My usual glitches are historical (though I love the broad definition!) and out-of-US. To that end...

A Case for the Ladies (Dot and Amelia Mystery) by Maddie Day
I'm not much of an historical cozy reader, though I have found a couple of good ones. What did you think of A Case for the Ladies by Maddie Day?

~and~
The Fatal Folio (Cambridge Bookshop #3) by Elizabeth Penney
I don't know why--either most cozies are US-based or I just don't look hard enough--but I don't have a lot of series in that category, though it does seem most of the "historicals" I've seen are set overseas. But then I'm in the quandary of where to count the read...

Anyway, what did you think about The Fatal Folio by Elizabeth Penney. I've TBRed the series at this point,

Assuming you won't stop there... I'll be back for more. =o)

Sorry about adding to your TBR lists (she lies), there is a reason I don't check out others challenges too carefully lol!

I enjoyed A Case for the Ladies and gave it 5 stars, then again I seem to enjoy anything by Maddie Day! Again I enjoyed the Elizabeth Penney books, although actually living just outside Cambridge (where the bookshop on is set) means I know the area a bit and it is fun to see where she has added roads, shops etc! If you want more outside the US ones then two series by Adriana Licio are set in Europe the Homeswappers (The Watchman of Rothenburg Dies) and The Italian Village (Murder on the Road) are possibles, also Paranormal ones like The Vampire Knitting Club, The Vampire Knitting Club: Cornwall, The Vampire Book Club and The Great Witches Baking Show by Nancy Warren are British Isles based.

Thank you for the recommendations! As noted, I'd already added the Penney series. I've had the The Vampire Knitting Club books TBRed for a long time (probably off one of your earlier challenge lists!) and just added the other Warren books/series as they showed up. I don't know why I didn't realize they were set outside the US. Everyone who posted about them love the first series that I guess I never really looked closely at it as I added books and series to the list.
