Review: This was a delight! Very much grumpy/sunshine with the grumpy one being full blown "touch him and die" protectiveness and I was just there for it. Asher's life was a little OTT bad at times, and it could've ended like 50 pages earlier without another terrible thing happening to him, but it was always great seeing Markus take charge and fix everything. A cute unique premise and an overall lovely story. Also, high steam, the MCs had great chemistry!

It was a new to me author and I was very pleasantly surprised! I’m trying to take at least one new author with each round of arcs I pick up because I realized I was really just sticking with my tried and trues

Wild Love (Rose Hill, #1) by Elsie Silver Wild Love

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Review: A brother's best friend, small town romance. I liked the way the author was able to create good banter & chemistry between the MC, but also their own growth as individuals. Cora was a good addition. Dads bowling was great too.

How the book qualifies Kai Butler first book published April 6th 2020
Date Completed: 21-Oct
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Review: It's wild that this was a debut novel. Kai somehow manages to mix past and present (regency and sci-fi) whilst not taking away from the heart of the story. Tirel inherits the title of Earl after his brother dies and finds the estate in more debt than they can manage. He needs to find a rich husband and quick, so he asks playboy Zev to teach him in the art of seduction. It was really a lot of fun.

Thanks for the update Danielle. Don't forget you only have to select a book by the end of the week. You have another week after that before you have to complete reading it, if that helps. 😊

This was slow going. It took 6 chapters (think there was 11 or 12) to get from the initial call from the Wildlings to their funeral which didn't even really advance the plot other than for them to discover they needed to stop a conspiracy. Not enough happened to make this interesting.

Review: This was a very touching Christmas story, not a cheesy comedy like the movie with the similar name, but a person obsessed with prestige removing their head from their arse and remembering who they really are, what really matters and who could matter the most. Sweet, fun and full of the feels.

This book was delightful surprise. I'm sceptical of most time travel books being well written, but this was a fun, detailed mystery, with a likeable cast of characters and an interesting look at life in 19th century Scotland. Looking forward to the next book in the series.

A YA, high fantasy read, with creative world building and explores how magic corrupts. The plot, at certain points, was slow and Nimona was simply TSTL. The power plays kept me interested enough to finish the book but not the series.
