Anastasia (anastasiaruff) | 1914 comments Hi Jazzy since you read a lot we need to bank a few really short books for JAIL spell out so that we don't waste the longer books if we go to jail. I think preferably between 100-200 pages and closer to 100 pages. We don't have any banked at the moment.

If you rolled an 8, you would go to either States Ave or Ballot Box, because the railroad is directing you to go horizontal with an even roll. So, you’d go “left” from the Reading Railroad and from there you continue your turn two spaces. Either up to Ballot box or down to States.

Bernadette (bernadettedaniel) | 1602 comments Team - we're on a roll (pun intended😂) with our reading.

Don't worry about reading long books or short books, just read what you want for now. We'll handle community chest, chance, jail and anything else that is thrown at us when it happens. We've been moving the larger books to the bank for salary but otherwise, we are not holding anything back for specific uses.

I am going to ask that your try to complete Column O in the tracking sheet if possible/applicable and we can stay on track (another intended pun😉)🚂🚂

Column O is books that have something that can be used for JAIL spellout. If any of your books contain this any characters that meet this and you remember to add that when you post your books, that would be helpful. We can handle all the others from info you already post.

Jail
You land in Jail when your token lands on the space marked "Jail". When your team lands on this space, your team must pay the amount listed AND complete a "Spell Out" of the word "JAIL" by reading 4 books.

Spell Out Options:
First Letter of the....
🔹Book Title
🔹Series Title
🔹Author First Name
🔹Author Last Name
🔹MC First Name
🔹MC Last Name

Bernadette is a very nice name. Unfortunately, someone started calling me "Bernie" in high school and it stuck with me through college; and I DID NOT LIKE IT! I quickly put a stop to that when I graduated. Now though when I hear someone call me that, I know it was an old high school or college friend.

I love that story.

Right I have to go to bed, I've got guitar class early in the morning and it's already nearly midnight! I still have a French lesson to practice before bed also. Take care and read on! xxx

If they were started on or after 6/30, can you please enter then on the SS? The link the SS is in Message #1. If you don't want to use the SS, please let us know and post your books in the team chat and one of the captains will post the books.

Michelle | 2073 comments Anastasia wrote: "Just wondering what is happening? There doesn't seem to be much going on with the game"

That's because we are in the beginning of the game. The board is pretty big, there are lots of properties, and since we have 4 teams rolling and making decisions on what they want to do with their turn it takes a little bit. Each team has 24 hrs to roll and make a decision on what they want to do. The main portion of the game is for people to read and add books to the spreadsheet. The more we have banked the better off we will be.

message 142: by Bernadette (new)

Bernadette (bernadettedaniel) | 1602 comments Team WWW is still reading for the current property but will have their turn completed within the allotted 24-hour period. Apparently they didn't have a book available for immediate use that fit the tasks.
