This is me checking in! I just saw the message that I have been added to the team! <3
We just landed on Ventor Ave. In order to buy it we need a book that will fit one of the tasks:Read a book with a yellow cover (>50%)
Read a book set in New Jersey
Read a book whose title contains all the letters “VENTNOR”
Read a book by an author whose first and last initials can be found in “VENTNOR”
And the book needs to be at least 260 pages.
My book I finished doesn't fit those tasks🥺

I hope no one minds, but on the SS if a book is used I used the grey fill cover for the line to show it is no longer available. If no one likes it, we can change it back. I use it so it's easier to find a book that I'm looking for.
I don't know what the spreadsheet looks like but it sounds like a good idea.
Are we rolling again now? It would be nice to know if I need to read a certain book.
We have to wait our turn. There are 4 teams and we are 3rd. So Team 4 is rolling now. Since it was just the beginning of the game there were not many read books in our stock pile so that is why I posted the task However just keep reading what you want. The more we have stockpiled the easier it will be to fill certain tasks for properties.
I would like to be helpful and read what we need.

🔸Books used for Salary: $0.10 per page
🔸Books used for Library: Deposit or Fine calculated at $0.05 per page
🔸Books used for Chance/CC/Ballot Box: Deposit or Debit calculated at $0.30 per page
🔸Books used for Stocks: Profit or Loss calculated between $0.10-$0.50 per page; each week a random Stock will be boosted and will be worth double the profit or loss!
So, every book you read COUNTS and is NEEDED!
I'm really glad both long and short books are needed for this challenge. Many of the books I read are 200 pages or so and some are 150 or less. So many challenge require long books and I'm not a big fan. As a matter of fact I've been known to avoid a book of it's over 500 pages 😆

I am purchasing NC Avenue with the book that has the least pages that qualifies. Next up is to collect our salary.

Jazzy which edition of The Winner did you read? Neither the paperback nor the Kindle edition are 350 pages.
Jazzy's books are on the SS and verified to this point with the exception of adding a page count for The Winner.
Jazzy - same question for The Schoolgirl Strangler - you said it had 328 pages which does not agree with any of the additions listed.

In addition to what Bernadette said, basically you just read. Most of the time you read what you want and add all your books to the SS. They get banked and it will be up to the captains on which book they will use for whatever spot we land on. When I played last year, I don't recall ever having an issue with not having a book available. I hope that helps.
