Review:
Alice Winters' book are hit or miss for me. Sometimes Im really in the mood for her writing and somedays I'm not. This book was up and down. I loved the premise but sometimes the writing got in the way of how much I enjoyed it. Overall it's a really good book that was unique and had some interesting twists. The humor fell short on some parts but didn't ruin the book for me. I did love Julian and Casimir and if I was to continue the series it would be for them.

This was so cute! I loved the friends to lovers romance between Marcus and Honoria. It was so sweet and developed so naturally. Very low angst, feel-good story. The Bridgerton cameos were also a plus

Review: This was very romantic and Guy and Ian had a lot of chemistry. I wasn’t sure about the writing at first but I ended up enjoying it. I would’ve loved more of Guy’s POV, he only shows up narrating the epilogue. Ian was lovely throughout, and I ended up liking Guy once I got to know him. The Christmas setting in London sounded magical, and Ian’s roommates were adorable.

Review: I love this series and feel that it gets better and better with each book. I like how Rain and Danny have grown closer as the series progresses. Their relationship is stronger than ever. The secondary characters are all funny, especially the paranormal tactical unit, and Rain’s parents, even the dog is quirky. I also love that Rain is so much better now at dealing with his ghostly visitors. Loved the ending with the new addition to the family.

I can never go wrong with a Licking Thicket book. I want to run to a small town with nosey family members immediately following any of Lucy Lennox's book and this one was no different. Hunter and Charlie had chemistry from the start and their non-existent 15 year long feud was hilarious to read about. No angst, so many laughs, this book is a go to if you are look for a feel good book.

Review: I think I will need to re-read this book. I was super distracted while reading it. My dog had been bitten by another dog and I read this while hanging out in the animal ER. Good times. Ok, actually terrible time to read a book. I think I would have liked it more had I had the attention span to get into it, as it was I didn't really connect to the characters. All that said, I do think it's a good book, this is a "it's me, not the book" moment.

BTW, my dog is fine, he had to get stitches and spent the night at the ER, but he's home now, still a bit zoned out and sore, but he'll be fine.

Option 1
9. Small town
Read a book set in a small town

For location/setting tasks, the book does not have to be solely set in that location; it simply needs at least one scene set there.
The usual precise, main page, tag or list will need to be provided to show how the book qualifies.

In this case, it will likely be in the precis, on a list or tagged 'small town' or similar. 'Cozy mystery' will work since that should be set in a small community.
Please ask if you are not sure.

To insert links (book-link or list/shelf/tag-link) in your posts, please read these instructions in the Q&A thread:

Review: It was a cute story about a city guy who gets stuck to his dream town, inside of something like a 90’s Hallmark movie. Matthew and Ben are very cute and kind. They get together quite fast, so there’s an insta-love vibe going on. The sexy times are also quite spicy. The town is magical and quirky, sort of like a Christmas fairytale. Most of it is written in Matthew’s POV but we get a few of Ben’s thoughts too.

Very expensive! My dog is a mutt- a little of everything. He was a street dog so he tries to show other dogs how tough he is - as long as he thinks the other dog is contained. So if he sees a dog on a leash or behind a fence he goes crazy barking, but if the dog isn't on a leash Jack tries to run away. The dog that bit him was behind a fence, but there is a huge gap at the bottom the dog can fit its head through.

I was hoping Jack learned his lesson, but I don't think he has.
