Week 1 - 14. Tourist destination
Option 1

In a New York Minute by Felice Stevens
In a New York Minute
Rating: 3 stars
Review: The MCs, Garrett and Remi were both sweet and maybe a bit too perfect so it bordered on disbelief, and they fell in love way too quickly. I wanted to know more about Remi as a musician and his rock star persona. On the other hand, they were beautiful characters and I liked watching them together. I enjoyed reading the descriptions of New York city, and both of their families were sweet and very supportive of them. I loved the grandparents.

Review: This is an old favorite. It's pretty sweet and lower angst and there is something about road-trip books that I love. Ravi and Tristan are very believable as rivals-to-lovers - their dislike for each other wasn't OTT and the shift to friends and then lovers is well done.

Thankless in Death (In Death, #37) by J.D. Robb

4/8/24
4.5 stars

Since I haven’t loved the last few In Death books, this one was a pleasant surprise. I liked that it wasn’t a mystery, but more of a cat and mouse game. The bad guy was truly despicable, so watching Eve give him the justice he deserved was especially satisfying. As always, the character interactions were perfection.

Review:
It took a few chapters for me to get into the book. I feel like the author doesn't give us any background and it almost felt like I was dropped in the middle of a series. As you read, you begin to learn about the world and the people in it and it makes sense but there is some big confusions in the beginning. Once I got into though, I could not put it down. So much action and I love the quiet romantic subplot between Jono and Patrick. I definitely want to continue on in the series.

This was a cute short read. Loved Quinten from the beginning and the way he had a "pack" as a human. I loved the way it was interconnected to the Kincaid Pack series. The slight angst tugged at my heart strings but the ending made up for it. Excited to read the next series.

Review: This is my favorite book in this series. I love when romance novels explore relationships in addition to the main romantic relationship - friendships and familial relationships. It was fun to watch Ronan figure out how to make friends and improve his relationship with his brother. I didn't love the resolution with Zac's grandmother, but at least it was addressed. Overall a fun sweet book.

Review: This was cuter than I expected, with lots of holiday vibes. The MCs Zeb and Atlas were both adorable. I felt like a bit more conflict between them would’ve worked out well too. I did like that there were no dumb misunderstandings though, with their relationship developing slowly. Zeb’s brother and his wife were lovely, and I liked watching Zeb and Atlas become uncles to the twins.

I read all of the Kincaid Pack series. Some I loved over others but overall great series. That one is hard to read out of order since there is an subplot that builds through the series.

Honestly I really expected to love this one, but i had a feeling from Sebastian's first pov chapter that it may not work for me. MMM is always tricky to balance in a way and this one just didn't do it for me.

This one simply didn't give me the romance vibes I like and I'm not invested to see where the story goes.

My Full Review has spoilers so I just put the basics

Great psychological thriller! With thrillers, you go in knowing everything is not as it seems.. So I’m always looking for clues to the “twist”. Even so, this one kept me guessing throughout. Lots of twists and turns as we dug deeper into Becky’s story and how she ended up with Freddie.

But I am a sucker for an HEA…. and I never can get one with this genre!

This book was pretty unique, full of humor and lots of comforting feels. Finn & Jared have great chemistry, each with their own insecurities and full of support for one another.

I adored the eggplant's, the famers market, meals, onesie, innuendo, apron and measurements. Just very entertaining and so fun, the way it brings these two together had me smiling throughout.
