You made it further than me. I really wasn’t enjoying that series, and the cliffhangers made me so mad. 10 years ago I wasn’t very good at stopping a series. Book 6 didn’t have a cliffy, so I stopped there.

Re..."
I should have stopped at book 6 as well, but because it was Rachel Caine I kept going. This one was so bad that I decided enough was enough. Claire is just TSTL and the attempted suicide one of the old ass vampires did was just really ridiculous and stupid.

Review: It's been awhile since I read the last book, but I was able to continue the series without to much head-scratching. There were 6 books of lead-up to this ending, and then it felt pretty rushed. Also, I was reminded that I paused because the way Dot keeps adding to her harem was really annoying. She sees; she likes; the other guys convince her to add.

Also, is this Week 10 or Week 11? I know we sat out a week, but it still existed. :)

I asked, but received no answer, so I think that is a no.
We are in Week 11

Review/Rant - Sadly, The Morganville Vampire Series and I need to part ways. I'm done with whatever ridiculousness is going on in that town and the idiot characters living there. This is book 7 and I have not seen a single character have any growth. Not a one. How is this even possible? Claire is still a naive dip shit who lets herself continuously get bullied by the mean girl and her entourage, but still goes out of her way to help them while being bullied. She's not afraid of them, nor are they vampires so what's the deal? Why has Claire not gotten her drivers license yet. You would think after 7 books of being harassed every time she walks somewhere she would do something to avoid it. Nope.
Michael is the most boring vampire in existence. Shane has anger issues and still is uptight with Michael being a vampire. What Clare sees in him blows my mind. Eve is phony. She's a little girl playing goth dress up with the IQ of a grapefruit. The vampires in the town are still fighting over the same old shit. Nothing is new in this series except for a few characters here and there. It's still not enough to keep me interested. I hope the entire town eventually burns to the ground taking every single character with it. I'm out!

How qualifies ~ Badge of Honor: Texas Heroes Series #7
Review ~ Crash & Adeline meet when her date walks out cause she's let's him know she has to get somewhere safe because her service dog, Coco, is alerting her that she is about to have a seizure.
Crash comes to the rescue and takes her across the street and then to the fire station, (he's a paramedic), for a safe place for her to ride out her seizure. Not only does he stay with her during the seizure, but he proceeds her to take her to lunch afterwards.
Little does she know, he noticed her when she first walked in the restaurant. Crash asks Adeline out for a date the following weekend & takes her on the first day of a lifetime. They go to a glass blowing demonstration where he makes a special trinket for her. Then he takes her to dinner then he brings her back to the fire station to get on the ladder in bucket to go up and watch the sunset from the ladder and bucket of the fire truck. He was all alpha & very dreamy!
Unfortunately there's the bad guy who is obsessed with Adeline in between that and her seizures they have a hard row to hoe. But all the fire station are there to help them through it.
What I love most about Susan Stoker books is even the best most gorgeous & fit guys love ordinary women. Even women with disabilities are not looked down on and instead treated with love and respect.
I know that alot of people don't like the instalove, but I still like the thought of love at first sight.

How it fits: Starts with D

Loved it!!!! This is how cozy mysteries should be like! Well... kind of. I think I loved the idea of this book more than the actual book. Like it has a great rating for me but reread value is zero.
I really loved the main character but the other characters were meh like Tony was just so annoying and Dimples too himbo

Review
This is the second Alice Feeney book I have read and I must say she is a master (0r is the proper term mistress) of locked room mysteries. Daisy is the youngest sister of a dysfunctional family. Rose is the oldest, a veterinarian, Lily is unemployed and milking the (British) unemployment system and Daisy does volunteer work. Nancy and Frank, their parents are divorced and tolerate each other. Nana, the matriarch of the family lives on an Island in the Atlantic Ocean in a house named Seaglass. Nana had her fortune told long ago by a Palm Reader in Land's End, so she is expecting to die on her 80th birthday. Trixie is Lily's fifteen-year-old daughter and is a lot nicer than her mother is or is she?
Daisy "was born with a broken heart" is how the novel begins, her family was going to let her die, but the midwife had other plans. Her mother didn't want her, she was hoping for a son after two daughters. She became the least favorite child. She died again on her fifth birthday, trying to swim to America, but her sister Rose performed CPR on her. She was the broken child no one thought that she would live beyond the age of fifteen.
The night before Nana's 80th birthday, they gather at the house for the family reunion, and then one by one the family members are murdered. Nana is expecting it, but what about the rest of them? Nana had made her money by illustrating children's books and then she wrote her own about Daisy. The family all want her money because, besides Rose and Frank, none of them worked, they just sponged off Nana. We wouldn't be complete without the lights going out and finding dead bodies. So, first, Nana's head is bashed in, Frank is poisoned, and Trixie is found with Nana and Frank in the cupboard, left for dead, she had blood between her toes, possibly from an insulin injection. Lily is found poisoned by her perfume Poison and Trixie shoots Rose. But as far as Daisy is concerned, Triex told her that she could not kill her because she was already dead. Conner and her sisters killed her when she was thirteen by throwing her off a cliff because they thought that she had died when Conner hit her with his car. I was wondering if Daisy was dead for this story just by the way that no one seems to notice her. Trixie also had the same heart condition as Daisy, but had the surgery that she never did, to fix her heart.

Looks like the schedule only goes through last week. But if we start at the beginning again it will be Michelle (Captain).

I have now sent her a message as well asking for her to let either the team or me directly know whether you should wait for her.
Without a firm answer from her either way, you'll have to wait out the deadline before you can roll. Hopefully she'll check in.

Yes we have 3 bonus points left.

Are you two ok with using bonus points this week?
I'm headed to bed now and I will check back in the morning.
As Samantha has failed to check in, you'll finish the game with five players. It looks like this will be the final week, with Team 7 having rolled past 100.

I guess it doesn't really matter with somebody else having rolled past 100 this week anyway. And to be honest I'm fine playing just us until we get to 100 if you want to

Thanks, Mamacita! I am feeling a bit better now.
A locked room mystery is where the characters are stuck somewhere and cannot escape. In this case, they were stuck on an island for eight hours and could not get out until the tide went out.

No need to rush. It looks like Laura and Mama have not gotten to their books and want to take an extra week to get their current reads done. Go get some rest. I hope you feel better soon.
