Review: I shouldn't be surprised. The books in this series have more smut than plot. But this one was special. It's a collection of short stories set after the main action of the series is over. As such, there is no plot at all. It's all sex. So I had to knock off a bit on the rating for the lack of plot. :)

When I was Captain I would always have a co-captain that would message anybody that had not posted by Thursday. We always tried to have our reviews done by Thursday so that we could roll at Midnight. But that team was more competitive.

Yes. we are only penalized for this week.
I hope this answers some questions**VERY IMPORTANT**
A team CANNOT advance if all the reviews are not complete and in by the deadline. Reviews are due at the latest by end of day on Friday - 11.59pm Central Time. Without a free pass to cover a review still missing by deadline, the team will have to sit out the next roll. That being said, players should have their reviews in on Thursday as your team captain cannot roll until ALL of the team reviews have been posted.
❖If a player fails to have their book done two times throughout the game (excluding a prearranged absence) they will no longer be a part of the team.
✸ Prearranged absence must be requested from the moderator in charge by pm or in your team thread before the team rolls for the week you need to skip.

Yeah that's what I was asking. I didn't know if she's still had to post for this week or not.
Even what you posted above does not clarify for me if she is just excused for this week even though we are penalized or if she still has to post this week or if she does not, it's counted as her second absence.

If you miss the deadline, you do not have to make a completion post. It's also not considered an excused absence.

I suppose if she was suppose to post, that would be considered her second absence and we would roll. But if she doesn't have to post after missing, we roll and then if she doesn't post for next week that is the second one.

Yes, I have via pm. She is ok physically. I do not know if she will be with us for the next round. I figured I would give it a few days and then check in with her again to see if she wants to continue.

I usually read til around 11pm. I always fall asleep sometime after that with my kindle & wake up to it on the floor in the morning. Lol

I wouldn’t say no to moving to 80 or 81, but if staying here is the majority’s preference, I’ll find something. It’ll just be near the end of the week. I don’t have anything that works for 78 planned for the rest of the month. And Uno has all my plans for the month locked into place.Is anyone else working on the no books from the alternate options bonus point? Because I do have a D planned if I can’t get to a series book in time.

Yep, you are correct. I checked with Denise as well. I just wanted to make sure we did not have to start from 57. I would have cried if we did and I told everyone that we were ok and we weren't.

Ugh..I'm torn on what to read. I have a book that I need to read that starts with a "D". But I normally read a series book. For now I'm planning on the alternative:

Review ~ Crash & Adeline meet when her date walks out cause she's let's him know she has to get somewhere safe because her service dog, Coco, is alerting her that she is about to have a seizure.
Crash comes to the rescue and takes her across the street and then to the fire station, (he's a paramedic), for a safe place for her to ride out her seizure. Not only does he stay with her during the seizure, but he proceeds her to take her to lunch afterwards.
Little does she know, he noticed her when she first walked in the restaurant. Crash asks Adeline out for a date the following weekend & takes her on the first day of a lifetime. They go to a glass blowing demonstration where he makes a special trinket for her. Then he takes her to dinner then he brings her back to the fire station to get on the ladder in bucket to go up and watch the sunset from the ladder and bucket of the fire truck. He was all alpha & very dreamy!
Unfortunately there's the bad guy who is obsessed with Adeline in between that and her seizures they have a hard row to hoe. But all the fire station are there to help them through it.
What I love most about Susan Stoker books is even the best most gorgeous & fit guys love ordinary women. Even women with disabilities are not looked down on and instead treated with love and respect.
I know that alot of people don't like the instalove, but I still like the thought of love at first sight.

Review/Rant - Sadly, The Morganville Vampire Series and I need to part ways. I'm done with whatever ridiculousness is going on in that town and the idiot characters living there. This is book 7 and I have not seen a single character have any growth. Not a one. How is this even possible? Claire is still a naive dip shit who lets herself continuously get bullied by the mean girl and her entourage, but still goes out of her way to help them while being bullied. She's not afraid of them, nor are they vampires so what's the deal? Why has Claire not gotten her drivers license yet. You would think after 7 books of being harassed every time she walks somewhere she would do something to avoid it. Nope.
Michael is the most boring vampire in existence. Shane has anger issues and still is uptight with Michael being a vampire. What Clare sees in him blows my mind. Eve is phony. She's a little girl playing goth dress up with the IQ of a grapefruit. The vampires in the town are still fighting over the same old shit. Nothing is new in this series except for a few characters here and there. It's still not enough to keep me interested. I hope the entire town eventually burns to the ground taking every single character with it. I'm out!
