Nick Clausen
I love zombie post-apocalyptic novels. The more in a series the better. I saw his boxed set on unlimited and gave it a shot. I read Dead Meat last month and Under the Breaking Sky boxed set this month. Just love discovering new author that are my jam.

I'm starting to sound like Ligotti. lol

Wanted some Christmas horror to wet my appetite so I recently started Season's Creepings.
Would really like to find some other Christmas horror books to read after I get done with this one.

I'm listening to a short story as a sort of palate cleanser, and then I'm going to start the last book in the Matthew Corbett series by Robert McCammon. I'm excited and sad all at the same time as this series has been part of my life for the last 10-20 years.

Can’t wait to dig into that trilogy in the new year Char!!

Back to my first love: horror and SF!

Surely You Can't Be Serious: The True Story of Airplane! by Zucker, Abrahamson and Zucker
The book was even funnier than the movie as the trio tell the journey of how the classic film was made.

I must mention once again that I began this book with low expectations because supernatural books generally a history of being disappointing. However, I must say that this is undoubtedly one of the best books I have read in the published 'fanfiction' series. story is a giant roller coaster ride from start finish, leaving you breathless as you read it. There is truly dull moment in this book. While some reviewers mentioned the ending boring, I found it perfect. Moreover, the characterisation is impeccable and will genuinely you feel you are reading the story of the real Winchester brothers from the show, rather than just fanfiction.

I have this on my bookshelf. I'll have to get to it soon 'cause I have a feeling I'll really need plenty of things to make me laugh in 2025.

I actually own a copy, published in 1976. It has two loose pages, but is in great shape otherwise. I have read this before, but this time it is for a buddy read.

I'm reading

I'm listening to the latest Orphan X novel

I'm having a great start to 2025 reading!

The story is a twist on the old legend of Roanoke, throwing a family in a Colorado town into a foggy nightmare. This supernatural tale creates gruesome scenes and instills terror in the family.
Although there were errors, the writing style is well-suited to the plot. The characters were reasonably well described and served as good foils for each other. I appreciated the concept and found it to be creepily effective.
Overall, it’s fantastic horror story that keeps you on edge your seat. The suspense is, the are well-developed, and the plot twists are unexpected and chilling.’s a thrilling read from start to finish, with the right amount of fright to keep you hooked.
