Ooh--I loved THE SEPTEMBER HOUSE, too!

Next up Nekropolis by Tim Waggoner.

Read this a few years ago and enjoyed it quite a bit.

Dark Matter by Blake Crouch
Rating: 3 stars

and I started reading a near-forgotten gem of a horror story written by a former actor

The Other by Thomas Tryon

Night Shift by Stephen King
Rating: 4 stars

and I started another short story collection, this one with a book cover that looks like it was assembled by a three year-old with blunt-nosed scissors and a crusty bottle of Elmer's Glue

The Lottery and Other Stories by Shirley Jackson

The third novel in the Matthew Corbett series is entertaining, certainly, but too many cliches and out-of-character behaviors pulled this one down for me. I will definitely read the 4th book, though.
Now beginning:
The Hopkins Manuscript

Old-school apocalypse!

...and yes, it was because it was listed in the freebies folder for this group!
So far, I am almost halfway through; and I am loving it. Not sure if this will be paranormal horror, alien horror or something else; but its good.
