Carolyn | 2078 comments Joy Moody is Out of Time by Kerryn Mayne Joy Moody is Out of Time is a tale of a mother who has raised her twin daughters to believe they are from the future rather than tell them the truth. Humorous and a little dark with a host of wonderful characters.

Carolyn | 2078 comments The Hunter by Tana French The Hunter by Tana French is one of my favourite reads so far this year. Beautiful writing, fascinating characters and a long, slow burning build up to an explosive ending. So good!

Carolyn | 2078 comments The Last Guest House by Caroline Mitchell The Last Guest House by Caroline Mitchell is a pretty creepy psychological suspense set in an isolated guest house on the tenth anniversary of a cold case mass killing.

PattyMacDotComma | 813 comments What a wild pair these disreputable, scruffy Irishmen are, waiting in Algeciras, Spain, for the Night Boat to Tangier, looking for one's daughter, Dilly, who took off for the continent three years ago. Terrific Irish lilt to the sound of them as they search.

Carolyn | 2078 comments The Canal Murders (Yorkshire Murder Mysteries #10) by J.R. Ellis The Canal Murders by J.R. Ellis. Although not my favourite in this series, I really enjoyed the setting of this novel where two young detectives on a canal boat holiday come across a murder amongst the boating community.

Carolyn | 2078 comments Sanctuary by Garry Disher Sanctuary by Garry Disher is an excellent stand alone featuring a woman trying to hide while her life as a thief is catching up with her.
