PattyMacDotComma | 3310 comments George Saunders is one of the very best short story writers. He reveres the Russian masters. I, on the other hand, prefer his work, like the moving, inventive, bizarre stories in Tenth of December. What an imagination!

Based on the story of a woman in thirteenth century Ireland who was the first to be condemned as a witch. Had great potential but the writing approach was a bit too experimental. Might work better for Booker-style lit fic lovers.
