Marianne (cloggiedownunder) | 9985 comments You don’t have to be nine years old to enjoy this school story by Patrick Ness. You can be sixty-nine and be laughing out loud on the first page, and many times thereafter. 5★s for Chronicles of a Lizard Nobody and looking forward to the sequel.

PattyMacDotComma | 3310 comments I'm new to popular crime author Don Winslow, and I've been enjoying his entertaining short stories.

Inept surfing accountant Downward Facing Doug relies on his Dawn Patrol surfer friends for protection from beach bullies, but he gets his revenge. Satisying. 😊

Carolyn | 9864 comments The Wrong Hands (Detective Miller, #2) by Mark Billingham The Wrong Hands by Mark Billingham is an excellent second outing for unconventional detective Declan Miller. It all starts when two inept robbers get more than they bargained for when they steal a briefcase .....

Carolyn | 9864 comments The Hitchhiker by Gabriel Bergmoser The Hitchhiker by Gabriel Bergmoser is another horrifying, but fun psychological suspense set in the Australian outback. (Not sure he's helping to promote Aussie tourism!)

Andrea | 2170 comments The Perfect Passion Company by Alexander McCall Smith was an enjoyable audiobook, despite the occasionally dubious Australian accent of one of the main characters! (She did a pretty good job 99% of the time)

Disaster novel. Crichton's unpublished manuscripts completed by James Patterson.

Lion Dancers by Cai Tse
The story could have been finetuned a little more in this MG graphic novel, but the details of lion dancing were impeccable. The author is a lion dancer with the Chinese Youth league of Australia.
