These all look brilliant! Thank you so much! I'm thinking the terror or the final winter. But, can't wait to read them all.

message 103: by MikeR (last edited Jan 24, 2024 04:21PM) (new)

MikeR Just finished They Came with the Storm, which is an informative read. He is regarded as a Stephen King style, and it deals with Skadegamutc, or ghost-witch, an undead monster/witch of Native American folk-law, don't read too many novels about them.

I've just started another one : The Last Storm so far so good.

message 104: by Netanella (new)

Netanella | 571 comments Oh, snap!

I think I confused Christopher Coleman's They Came with the Storm with his earlier They Came with the Snow!

I didn't realize it until MikeR's post and realized the plot was different. Either way, they both work for meteorological horror!

oh no, I've already read The Outsider a couple of times. when I mentioned Lovecraft - and Blackwood - it was more so as examples of short story authors I've read and whose styles I like, not really stuff from them. I've read plenty of Lovecraft by now and I'm actually planning to read one or two Blackwood collections this year, so xd
but thank you nonetheless!
