As the Cabanna Boys reminded me - It's St. Nicholas Day!
The Cabanna Boys have arranged to honor it in a very traditional way - stockings filled with goodies for one and all.

Goodies of course include chocolate, candy canes, snacks and of course a mandarin orange or tangerine in the toe!

*Please excuse the names. These are all recycled stockings the Cabanna Boys rescued from thrift shops and yard sales. Seems the budget is getting a tad tight since CGI Tom abandoned the train for his Polar Express gig. I applaud their ingenuity and endorsement of recycling.

We had Fake Chanukah here tonight - which left the 13 year old perplexed. Its my mother's 83rd birthday today and my parents are leaving for Mexico tomorrow. Because my mother is addled and confused, she actually thinks we are meeting here there. That is a long story longer. But I got one of her friends to get over there and bring her phone for a zoom, something they never could have managed on their own in a thousand lifetimes. I got the three of them on the zoom with my two sons at different colleges and the three of us. We lit the Menorah with all eight candles, a night before the holiday began, and sang Happy Birthday. A four location festival. So tell CGI Tom to focus on the Polar Express. I always have a menorah and candles around, even a day early if need be. Plus there is always JoyD's Hermoine Trunk in the Baggage Car. Just in case I need a little something. Latkes can wait until the Cabana Boys have a spare moment.

I'm not sure if Joanne needs to know this for placement on the main game board or not?

I finished my #10 and posted the review earlier today, but I don't need a new roll because I had a special advantage that moved me ahead by 30. So, on my own game board, I've moved myself ahead to #40.

I may or may not get that read by Dec 20th (likely not), but I do hope to read it before the end of this year, anyway, just to feel like I finished it off, even if not before the official end of game.

There is also a spread of seasonal Jewish food spread - latkes and jelly donuts, kugel and brisket. I think I even spot some chicken liver pate next to the challah. Everyone should give a dreidl a spin. I'm sure Amy can prompt everyone on the Dreidl Song. At least I'm told there is a Dreidl Song.

After almost 6 weeks, I finally finished the book I was on and I used my special advantage to move ahead, marked this on my board. After that book, I will finally get another roll.
