December Subdue the Shelf Roll Requests
Well, with CGI Tom having quit and gone back to his seasonal Polar Express job, supervision of the decorating of the Subdue Express has fallen solely on Train Management, all of whom are very very busy. With great trepidation, I went on an inspection tour today. Fortunately, the Cabanna Boys, Firefighters, Butler, Wardrobe Attendant, and rest of the staff did a thorough post Thanksgiving and Friendsgiving feast cleanup in record time and practically overnight decorated the train outside and in for the upcoming holidays.

I told the crew that this tree needs a LOT more decorations and the car needs strings of lights!

Better practice those HoHoHOs JoAnne so you can spit them out without thinking as needed while recovering from surgery!A few Bah Humbugs can of course slip in.
More holiday suprises will be forthcoming as key dates approach ,.. the crew was so excited to tell me all that is planned!
In case anyone lives near or will be visiting Fremont, CA ... the crew was inspired by the Niles Canyon Railroad and its Christmas train there for its decor.
I think there were 3 of us requesting a roll from yesterday, which may have gotten lost in the holiday decorating:Sue (1)
Joy (1)
Pam (1)
Omg so sorry everyone! Yesterday was very busy for work, and I had in my mind that I did my PBT tasks. I did some of them lol.
I'm finally ready for my next roll (3). The Secret History was 640 pages long which qualifies for 2 extra dice.

Close, I am on the clerk board so I need 2 dice....but it is OK because the 6 six by itself is enough to roll me off the board. I already have a porter board (I was on it when I was shaken up back to the clerk board) so I should be good for another 1 die roll tomorrow.
Ugh! Cora, I never realized you went back to Clerk, and have been moving you on Porter (shhhh, don't tell Anita and maybe it will stay this way)-Bah-humbug. Took you off the Porter board for now, Anita is too wise to have missed it

Thanks, Anita. I will also use a tag-related benefit to move forward 1 space. Will note it on my tracking thread.
Rolls for 12/3:Cora 5
Joy 5
And for Shake It Up Sunday, Book Concierge, you've been shook (sad face). Please move back 2 spaces after you complete your current read.

Well, THAT wasn't a very nice birthday present! Not to worry, My # 4 is a book I want to read, and it's relatively light and fluffy. I have my current subdue book with me on audio while traveling, and might actually have it finished today.
I'm having some troubles with copy/pasting on this infernal tablet, so may not get the full review posted in the group threads, but I'll ...hopefully ... include a link to where it can be found on my bookshelf. (S*I*G*H .. .shoulda bought a laptop...)

OMG it was your birthday??? Ugh. I'm so sorry. I feel like that's just wrong.
Book Concierge wrote: "Well, THAT wasn't a very nice birthday present!..."Oh! Happy belated birthday!
I knew you also had a December birthday, but thought it was later. I seem to be terrible for remembering specific dates for that!

Oh Tessa! Guess that's just Ursula's way of wishing you a Happy Birthday.
I will use an advantage earned earlier in the game to use 3 participation points to move forward 3 spaces, putting me on #52.
Porter Amy checking in for her next Shift on the train, before the Train Ride draws closer to its final stop... Having a drink in the bar car, likely in the Royal Coach. Just finished my Subdue book at #95, but Ursula and the Wicked 11 has me needing to read another book before the next stop. I have to find where I wrote it down, but I will be reading the Sleepwalker, by Chris Bohjahlin from someone's shelf. But not just yet. I have some intervening reads. Starting now with the Beautiful and the Chosen. Settling into the Royal Coach. Did someone order a menorah and candles? How about latkes for tomorrow night?

If you roll:
1-1: The current leader must move back 3 spaces on their game board and read the book where they have landed next.
Any combination totaling 7: You move 7 spaces and stay on that space, but you may read the book you land on OR one book forward or one book back - - your choice.
6-6: Don't like the book you will land on? You may roll again.
3-1: You get to take pick someone's next move on the board. The admins will use random.org to decide who will be moved. You get to decide which book they must move to next on their game board - - backward or forward -- within a 15 book radius. So you can move your opponent up to 15 spaces back or up to 15 spaces forward to the book of your choosing. Should you be reluctant to move another player ,or if you do not respond to an administrator's request to designate the move, random.org will move the player - odd rolls will move the player backward and even rolls will move the player forward.
2-1: You may use up to 3 of your participation points to move yourself ahead up to 3 spaces.
6-5: You must read a book that's on someone else's board and NOT on your own before you may roll again. (extra note here: you may read the book you land on first and then read the other person's book, or vice-versa. So two books must be completed before you re-roll).
4-4: Receive 4 participation points for the next book you read/review.
2-3 Get an extra "swap" that you may use anytime during the game.
6-4 Earn a surprise advantage to use anytime during the game
Also, on any mega-dice rolls at the very end of a board that could provide substantially more moves than needed to roll off, the player must:
1. Seek preapproval (before asking for roll) to split the rolls between the old and new boards. Without that pre-approval, the rolls are strictly applied to rolling off your old board only.
2. The player's new board must be posted, locked, and have had its screen shot before asking for approval of Train Management to split the mega roll.
REMINDER: NO rolls may be requested for a new board until the player has uploaded the full new board and notified Train Management that it is uploaded, locked, and ready for its screen shot. This is not a new rule.
