Sounds like a good place for you, too. Nice to be able to chat sometimes. The world is often too busy.

Desley (Cat fosterer) (booktigger) | 12687 comments Evening all, woke up at silly o clock cold with a headache, not fully got rid of the headache and not had much energy. Got enough energy to pop to shop for milk and bumped into A's aunty who injured her wrist putting decorations up. Then got a decaf white mocha with gingerbread syrup, they aren't open again till next year. Showered and washed my hair, did a bit of housework before putting the decorations up, the ornament my crafter friend got me just fits nicely, though did make me cry. Sorted through presents and put them in gift bags ready to give out, apart from family, will do those Wed (need to get my sister something on Mon).

Alicia Ehrhardt (aliciabutcherehrhardt) | 4892 comments I'm going to be occupied with an unexpected (and unwanted) tax load that shouldn't have been my job, so I'll wish everyone the blessings of the Season, whatever you celebrate, and may not be around until next year if it is as bad as it might be - and my capacity as limited.

Carol Dobson | 691 comments And blessings to you, Alicia, as well as everyone else. Xmas nearly here; just my husband and I and yet it still seems a very busy time of the year. I was nearly a Xmas Carol but arrived late and so for me celebrations always used to be spread over several days and it seemed a special time as decorations were up and there were the various Xmas festivities.

Desley (Cat fosterer) (booktigger) | 12687 comments Evening all, another rubbish night sleep, so had a lazy start to the day. Ratty Neighbour posted a card, only had one of the rats names on, i knew one wasn't well, but she must have died. Went to shops and bumped into a neighbour I had a present for, so arranged to pop in when I got back, so went and had a chat with her, she's always had birds but her front room was empty, seems we are ending the year with less animals on the street. Tried to do 30 mins of chores, but my hips started hurting after 20 mins. Have had a nice bath

Sorry to hear you've got some unexpected work Alicia, hope it isn't too taxing for you and you can enjoy some festivities.
