I'm going to try for the triple category with three books featuring the title of a family member in the title. the three I've picked out are: The Magician's Nephew by C.S. Lewis, The Zookeepers Wife by Diane Ackerman and Her Mother's Hope by Francine Rivers.
I will try to get them on the spreadsheet when I'm home this evening.

When we fill in the spreadsheet, how should we mark our possible fits -- X or [title]? I tried each way on my first two planned books, just to see how it looks. Also, for a triple, say, should we mark our one title on all three lines of "same prompt" that it fits? Or just once? That is, mark all three lines of family sage, or just one?

If nobody has the answer, I guess we could check back on the World Mysteries Readathon, and see how teams managed that situation.

I'm trying to even out the marks for doubles and triples, that is if I have 2 books for a double prompt I mark one book in the first cell for the prompt and the other book in the second cell, I hope I made myself clear 😊

I assume this would include immigrant or refugee stories, or maybe where a family moves for a job or military service or something. I marked The Last Anniversary for this one since Australia is a foreign country to me, but I will adjust it on the spreadsheet.

Yes, there's a fine line between some categories, not just these ones, but others like orphan / adopted/ foster care.
Besides, like I said, this is only an aproximation to what we have but many variations are possible still, for example I put my book "Dry Season" for the "adopted" triple because we haven't any other to fulfill this task (and we're 1 short still), but I think it suits best in the "dual POV" duo. I tried to fulfill the most profitable task possible with the books we have so far.
When we have all the books we'll see the combinations we can make.
We still need a lot of books 😅

Sometimes we won't know until we actually read, which prompts they might fulfill. The Last Anniversary sounds like it might possibly have an adoption story, but I won't know until I get there. Hmm...

Choose the books you prefer and then we'll try to accomodate them wherever it's more convenient for the team missions, but maybe it'd be helpful if your choices fulfill some of the prompts where we have less options 😉

If the book you want to read is: I Have Some Questions for You, I think it can fit "a book featuring a group or club" if we understand a school as a group of people, and then it seems that the protagonist is a kind of "outsider".

I just realized right now that "End of the chapter" is a trilogy (I knew it but I didn't give it a thought 😑), it should count as 3 books, right? (For the Family Saga prompt)
Or, although I have a single volume, I have to detach the different books that make up the trilogy... a tricky question 🤔
I better ask it at the Central.

Carmen, the Forsythe Chronicles are made up of 3 trilogies, so yes it should count as three books, even though you're reading the bind-up, since all the books can be bought individually.

You'll just need to list each one in the spreadsheet (Maid in Waiting, Flowering Wilderness, and One More River)

In the interest of full disclosure, I have the potential for complications during this readathon. I listed 12 possibilities in my list and on the planning tab, but I only committed to 7 during sign-up. I usually read more than planned, but I don't know if I'll be able to this time.

My daughter is 38 weeks pregnant with our first grandchild and wants me to attend the birth for support. If baby comes during the readathon, it's going to put the kibosh on my reading for a day or so. If he stays put until the 25th or later, I will likely read extra books during our 10-day event. 🤷🏻‍♀️

That said, do you have preferences for which 7 books I should prioritize as first reads? All are loaded to my phone and ready for listening.

The Forsyte Chronicles includes 9 novels and several interludes. It is divided into three trilogies:
1. The Forsyte Saga (The Man of Property, In Chancery and To Let)
2. A Modern Comedy (The White Monkey, The Silver Spoon and Swan Song)
3. End of the Chapter (Maid in Waiting, Flowering Wilderness and One More River)

All three (books 7, 8, and 9) are more than 100 pages. I think they would definitely fill the family saga triple.

First of all, congratulations granny! 🍼👶
Don't worry about the readathon, first things first, and family definitely comes first.
If you aren't able to read as much books as you usually do, doesn't mean a thing. The important thing is to have a great time and enjoy your reads, if we don't fulfill more task we fulfill less, so what? We have a good time at it and that's what really matters.
Tomorrow, last day for planning, I hope, more or less, we'll have the final list, so if the baby comes sooner it has to be your priority, and you'll read what you can and everybody should understand it.
