It was nice to get back to Dylan and Chris and see how their relationship is developing. Chris has fully accepted Dylan's Werewolf status but they have a new problem, a ghost. I liked seeing how the guys dealt with this new and unusual unwanted guest along with Chris having to deal with family problems. Ery was a fun character I will definitely read the next one for his story.

If you like a good series look into this one....Terry Odell sure can weave a wonderful romantic suspense. Not to mention a riveting plot, great, GREAT chemistry between the main characters. Highly recommend this author and series.

Ahh this was good! I just love anything Adrian Phoenix writes. This picks up literally where Black Dust Mambo leaves off. Kallie is still in a mess...major mess! Layne was awesome and may just be moving to a book boyfriend spot :)
Unfortunately RL kept me from devouring this the way I wanted to, had I been able to it would of enhanced the story. If you like dark UF with some hot...and I do mean hot action thrown in you'd probably enjoy this!

That is fine. I am convinced you don't sleep :)

But I'm halfway through Born in Shame. Should be done in an another hour or two.

I think this book grows on me each time I re-read it. The first book in the series has always been my favorite, but yet I found myself utterly enjoying this one this time around too. It's sweetness more poignant by the pain of loss. Shannon is coming to grips with so much change in her life and yet she's finding a her way with grace and poise. Murphy is of course the dreamer romantic and yet so loving you can't help but believe him in the immediacy of his feelings.
I love the backdrop of Ireland in this series. It's so lovingly depicted and so clear. I really feel like I'm there and the beauty of the country all around. The culture and the people are laid out in a manner that makes them all feel like friends. The characters are warm and fully sketched out. This story finally brings some warmth to Maeve and her coldness to her daughters.
Of course Maggie and Bri are as lovely as ever. The fire and ice of their dual personalities balance each other. Shannon clearly falls somewhere in between the two sisters. She has enough of Maggie's fire to hold her own with both Maggie and Maeve, but enough of Bri's control and compassion to gain understanding and patience for the world she's found herself unwittingly a part of.
Murphy and Shannon of course are inevitable. I had forgotten about their past life backstory, but it just adds to the romantic nature of their tale. Shannon's painters heart wars with her practical business head and yet she is ever destined to fall for Murphy's romantic soul. The farmer is a dreamer underneath all his hard working ways. The patience of a saint, but the stubbornness of a mule. He's going to stay true to the path and the one he loves. Their story really is beautiful for all it's ups and downs.
I love this series and it reminds me of my own Irish heritage I'd love to someday explore. Such a wonderful touching read.

My least favorite Molly Harper book to date. The humor just wasn't as good and Gigi just didn't get into trouble like any of our previous lead characters. I highly recommend reading I'm Dreaming of an Undead Christmas before you read this though. Still an enjoyable read and Amanda Ronconni was great as always. Her accent when narrating Nik was awesome.

I LOVE ELEANOR OF AQUITAINE, she was a amazing woman and queen in medieval times. She was married to two kings, the only Queen of France and England, she mothered 3 kings of England and at the time of her death she outlived all of her children but one (had 10 children)
Throughout the book I was still in awe of this woman, even knowing her story, that just tells us what a great author Christy English is. This was a very good historical fiction book, I highly recommend it.

I do like the team from Bay City Paranormal Investigations This one starts with them leading some ghost fans on an investigation of an old Inn. They are called to go investigate yet another potential dimensional gateway at a remote mountain lodge. The team splits up with Sam, Bo and Dean going to the Lodge. I am starting to really like Dean.
This one is a little bit different with the boys dealing with Homophobia as well as the paranormal. Bo and Sam's relationship is still developing. I don't want to give too much of the story away so I will just say I am looking forward to reading the next book.

Should be done in a couple of hours though. :)

I just plain love this story. This is where the world starts to get more complicated and little hints and secrets start getting dropped about the bigger picture within this series. Plus for all his nastiness Zarek has such a sweet soul. This is one of my favorite books in the series. It's just so much fun, there's such caring between Zarek and Astrid. She truly sees his good soul and wants to help him realize that trusting someone else doesn't always end in pain.
Ok have to get this out there...I'm ADORE SIMI!!! She's one of my favorite characters in this series and I loved getting reintroduced to her here. She's just the most adorable childlike demon ever. I'd give her barbeque every day just to make her happy. She can barbeque that heifer-goddess anytime she likes as far as I'm concerned. Her loyalty to Ash is wonderful and I giggle to see how she always follows the letter of what he tells her but finds plenty of wiggle room in the loopholes.
Poor Zarek has had a horrible existence. His past is horrific in the extreme but his tender soul remains despite it all. I love the grouchy asshole exterior he maintains to protect himself. You just ache for him to find some happiness in his life. Astrid is such a sweet soul it's easy to see why she falls for the core or Zarek. I loved watching the balance of them all play out especially with Sasha there initially to play watchdog. ;) His nastiness towards Zarek always made me laugh. To snarky souls locked in a cabin together are bound to create sparks.
I really enjoyed getting the tidbits about the oh so secretive Ash. There's so much we don't know yet, but this book starts to reveal a few more and let's you realize there's a lot more going on here than meets the eye. I like the Zarek of all the Dark Hunters is the first to be allowed to see even that little bit. He's special whether he sees it or not.
I really loved this story of redemption and appreciate how far Zarek has come to be the man he will be with Astrid by his side. (view spoiler) Such a great addition to this series.["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>
