This is a book I have read over and over and over. The author got so much flak for what happens in the second book! It definitely made me cry, but I didn't see it as a betrayal like so many readers did. And I did not know there was an audio available, I may have to revisit...

Oh yes! Audiobook is available on Libby ar several libraries, including LA, CA...Harris County, TX and Broward County, FL.
I found the characters and plot much more complex, yet very realistic for an Old West story, than many Western romances.
I will look forward to book 2.
Sandra Brown was a "new to me" author...loved her work.

Springwater Series #3 bring us the story of a Miss Kitty of Gunsmoke type and her meetings with the town doctor (who is written more attractive than Milburn Stone)

I’m going to be traveling this weekend for a wedding but will have my books read by Friday morning, at least two, they are short. Will do the same thing for Friday’s task. Don’t know how the internet will be in the NC mountains and I’ll have a wedding and family to work around but I don’t sleep unless I read so . . . .

Review: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Book 2 in the Dr. Laszlo Kreizler series, a historic crime saga. Author Caleb Carr, who does excellent historic work related to the procedural investigation of crime, pens another good story. Set in 1897 New York, Carr makes a small stumble late in the book when those involved in a courtroom moment reference sending the accused to the electric chair. The electric chair was not used in New York until 1899, two years later. This is the last period before mass use of autos, so horses are mentioned throughout. This book is the basis for season two of the television series The Alienist, but includes many additional plot branches.

Review: ⭐⭐This is NOT a historic crime novel and the characters of the fist two books of the Laszlo Kreizler series do not appear. The only connection between The Alienist and The Angel of Darkness is that the MC admires Lazlo Kreizler, who worked in solving crimes nearly 100 years earlier. The reviews of this book ripped it, and I can understand why. Leaves this audience member thinking who helped Carr with books 1 and 2?

Review: Clean romance/mystery. Didn’t connect with any of the characters - too cliche/stereotypical. Found the read repetitive.
Sure...this is how I do it on Android devices using the Goodreads webpages. I do not use the GR app.Tags refer to the "shelf names" Goodreads (GR) users put the book on..so I have shelves names things like historic romance, "time travel," "Scotland," "mail-order bride," "Tower"(for the Tower Challenge.
To access the shelves a book has been tagged as:
1. Go to the book's main page
2. Look for the area in the center that lists the genres
3. Click on the last item "more"
4. Click on the last item "show all." This should take you to the page(s) of shelves other GR have used as tags. That is the webpage address you need for your post.
5. To search for a specific word, in my Android, I make sure the page is displaying in desktop style. Then I use the "find in page menu" and type in the word. Make a mental note of the page # and column. See my completion posts for an example.
6. If there is no "show all" choice on the main book page, which is common on newer books under the re-designed GR book page, here is a work-around.
6.1 Locate the link on the page where you can "show ALL editions" . For your book, you will be taken to:

Review: ⭐⭐⭐⭐.5. A new to me author (thank you Lea) pens the YA story of seventeen-year-old Rune Kristiansen who returns from his native Norway to Blossom Grove, Georgia, only to be perplexed when his former friend, Poppy Litchfield ghosts him.
My only criticism is that there are NO SECRETS in small town Georgia, so Rune should have just "asked around" more. This book was a Goodread's award nominee, Best Young Adult Fiction for 2016. As a bonus, learn a bit of Norwegian. Ya?

Same correction here for the qualification. Also, the lone Kindle edition of this book is not in English, so you wouldn't use that page count. Usually, you would then go to the ebook page count, but there isn't one of those either. So you would have to use the paperback page count in this situation - 160. You still had more than enough pages to finish the last task, so no problem there.
