@Susan, if you let us know what your final signup #books is we can amend for you (currently 30)
@Vicki: we learn each year that we can never over-promote the opening of sign-ups! :) glad you can join us again!

Me too, Cat...thanks! :)

I can do 40 per month. I can most likely do more but it would stress me out to think I promised more...so I'll say 40 and switch to longer books if I'm running too fast. Does that sound okay?
I read so many things that aren't eligible that taking last year's number and dividing by 12 would not yield a reasonable estimate.
Thanks for your help.

Don't worry Diane, there are plenty of us who revel in the larger tomes.. especially for points.

Per month? Can you confirm that you are sure you can read at that volume over the three months of the challenge, as looking at your read shelf it seems an overestimate? In March you read about 30.

Nope. I do that sometimes because I tend to binge read series, and some have shorter novellas that can't be used.

It is so hard to guess! I'm all over the place. Sometimes 5, sometimes 12. I picked a number in the middle. :)

My mother is always marking her books read on her kindle, that for some reason is set to my goodreads.
I used to read a book or more a day..but the last few months committing to more than 3-4 a week has been a challenge.
I put 13 a month Maybe I should have done more like 15-20?
your estimate is fine :)
It's just an estimate. If you find yourself running well over, you can always read slightly longer books. Or it may allow you to 'cover' books for someone who might be reading under their estimate for some reason (life happens!)

I seemed to have made some waves. I can stay at 30. This is new to me so it’s probably best to be conservative

This is the first Towers I’ve done, not really sure what to expect but I’m excited to check it out!

TTX sign ups will be announced via message and in the "All about" thread on April 15, but you can sign up now here

Is it possible to change my option about being a captain/ co-captain to no thank you as I think that I will be going travelling for 2 or 3 weeks during the summer now, and I might not have the best signal during that time. Sorry I should have realised it before, I just got so excited about signing up and thought it would be fun to have a role as well, but I don't think the Scottish Highlands are known for having a great signal.

I've never had any problems. Though maybe if you're camping in a remote valley somewhere..? I guess it might depend on your provider as well.

Yeah I already know that there are a few places that I am going to don't have any signal :) I just never thought about it when signing up because I have not decided when exactly we are going.

Don’t - even if you read 1 book, or less, a week, you will be an important team member - because every book, and every page counts. 😀👍

I felt this way at first, too. Don't worry. It's all about having fun - and balancing out the teams so it can be fun for all.
Don't worry about not reading the big numbers!
So long as you are enjoying what you are reading and chatting with your team, then we are very happy to have you on a team.

Yes! I committed myself to more books than I usually do for these challenges but that's because I wanted to try to keep up with my Goodreads goals. There will certainly be people on your team that will read way more and way fewer books than you so don't worry.
