The Summer Place by Jennifer Weiner was a DNF fr me. Didn’t like the main characters and just couldn’t be bothered persisting. Others may view this book differently.

I read The Lotus Shoes by Jane Yang. Historical fiction set in 19thC China. The story had potential, but I thought the execution was disappointing.
