2.5 stars for
An Afterlife for Rosemary Lamb by Aussie Author Louise WolhuterMy review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
My review of
The House With All The Lights On by Jessica Kirknesshttps://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
The Sebastian St. Cyr historical mystery series is a favourite. In #10, author C.S. Harris asks, Who Buries the Dead? (And who steals their heads?!) Great atmosphere, stories, and characters.
My review of Who Buries the Dead?
My review of
The Ghost Fields by Elly Griffiths #7 in her Ruth Galloway series and another excellent read.review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
I finished listening to The Accomplice by Lisa Lutz - 3.5*.Two friends have a vey close relationship from college on and connections to several suspicious deaths. I did not get drawn into this psychological suspense story as much as I hoped.
4 stars for 'romance with a twist'
The Seven Year Slip by Ashley PostonMy review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Murder In Maastricht by Graham Brack, #7 in his Master Mercurius series set in 17th century Netherlands is another entertaining cosy murder mystery review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
I finished listening to The White Tiger by Aravind Adiga - 3.5*.The story of a man growing up in poverty in India and how he becomes a businessman by slowly getting involved in the corruption found throughout contemporary society. Interesting, sometimes sad, and sprinkled with cynical humor.
Midnight Is the Darkest Hour by Ashley Winstead is a darkly gothic tale of religious bigotry and corruption in a small Louisiana town.review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
I finished listening to Everybody Knows by Jordan Harper - 3*. A fixer, protecting Hollywood’s rich and powerful from scandals, questions her job when her boss is killed. A somewhat predictable noir with lots of sleazy characters.
4.5 stars for
Daughters of Eve by Aussie Author Nina D. CampbellMy review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Ruthless by Anne Mette Hancock is the third book in her nordic noir series featuring journalist Heloise Kaldan and DS Erik Schäfer. This one is quite dark with Heloise investigating a cold case of a missing woman in Jutland. review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Here's my most recent review of award-winning crime thriller The Botanist by M.W. Craven. It won the Theakston's Old Peculier Award for Best Crime Novel of the Year (2023) at this year's Harrogate Crime Writers' Festival.

The Caretaker, by Aussie author Gabriel Bergmoser, is a tense thriller about a woman who is hiding out alone on a snowy mountaintop.
