Hey Krista i have a lil question on your spread sheet the Harlequin signing is on both Thursday and Friday at 1?

Yeah - they usually repeat the Harlequin Teen Hour with a slight variation. You'll note that JLA isn't slated for Friday, but Kady Cross is.

Make sure you line up early for the Harlequin Teen Hour.

Thank you, Jessica!

She was ticketed last year so I assume the same for this year."
She is not this year

Do you know what authors ARE ticketed?

Wed:
Willems, JLA, Quinones, Roker, & Peters.
Thurs:
Maguire, Selznick, Stephenson, Sollenne, Eisenberg, Westheimer, Datlow, & Mary Higgins Clark.
Fri:
Yoon, Brett, JLA, Trigiani, Schachner, Connor, Lane, Stiefvater, Baldacci, & Cabot.

They'll have the lines starting super early - at least an hour, but I wouldn't be surprised if some hard-core people start the line an hour and a half or two before the signing. They keep the overflow lines on the side of the autographing area with signs that say which signing people are in line for.
Although I'm wondering now that there are fewer tables, maybe they'll space them out more or allow for longer lines that snake around? Sometimes it gets hectic in the middle section...

I'll take it for Mary Higgins-Clark if it's still available.

Thanks for letting us know - that makes much more sense. Can't wait to see the full list so I can really plan!

Liza, are you doing a booth or table signing?

Also, just so I understand correctly, for a ticketed author and you don't have the VIP pass:
1. Get to Javits before 7am and pick up a ticket
2. Wait in line forever?
Is that about right?

LOL - pretty much. For the ticketed authors you get the special privledge of waiting in TWO crazy lines - one to get the ticket and one to get the book! :)
Also, note that the official ticketed author list that is posted above is ONLY for the tables. Individual booth signings may also be ticketed, but those tickets will need to be picked up at the booths at a specific time.
Case in point - last year Kiera Cass was in the Harper booth signing a finished HB of The One. Her signing was at, like 1 p.m., but you had to pick up a ticket at the Harper booth at 10 a.m. No ticket - no book. So, I had to work the 10 a.m. ticket pick-up into my schedule for the day, as well as the 1 p.m. signing.

Another thing we haven't done in the past is hit up the booths in the morning to grab the schedules. Is this how you usually get that information? We've just went by our schedules made up before the event (SO much already on them!)

In my experience, you'll already have 90% of the information on the booth schedules. But, the thing I find most useful are the days and times for the galley drops. You'll arrive with knowledge of what galleys are being dropped, but you won't know exactly when unless a publisher posts that information on their website beforehand (some do, some don't).

Thanks, Jessica! That's extremely helpful!

I know last year Sarah Maas has a line that started at 9 and her signing wasn't until 11. It was pretty crazy. I highly suggest lining up super early for popular authors, especially if they are not ticketed.

Where would it be on the BEA site?

Where would it be on the BEA site?"
It's in my show planner's drop down menu - under "search for types" - then choose "in-booth autographing."

Thank you.

So, I'm sticking around for BookCon on Saturday and half of Sunday. Most of their autographing schedule just has the author name(s), time and location for their signings. Does anyone have some inside info on what books they will be signing? And which ones we have to pay for?
Or are these just opportunities for you to bring your own book(s) to have them signed?

FYI - it's not on the BEA site yet, but Jennifer Armentrout has on her website that she's signing ARCs of Scorched on Friday from 11:30 - 12:30 at Table 9.
OMG, I want this book...
OMG, I want this book...

I'm pretty sure most of it is bring your own books, some authors have things like the first 25 people in line get a free signed ARC

There is a good chance I might have missed someone who requested it - please just email me again. BookcaseLaura@gmail.com
I probably won't be able to send it out again until tonight though.
Can't wait to start really planning now!!

Laura you are an angel. Thank you so much!

Thank you so much! As a first year BEA attendee, this will be so helpful! One question, will there possibly be another spreadsheet with in-booth ticketed authors?

I'm beginning to wonder if there are only 17 tables this year?? That's a big drop from 25 or 26 though. And Wednesday doesn't show 16 or 17 being used at all.
I have a feeling we're going to get all the info this week and then be in a crazy planning frenzy for the next 2 weeks! There's never enough time!!
