Questions/Problems in Completed Tasks
Rebecca post 521
Task 15.10 specifically requires that "If you do not plan to complete task 20.10, or you plan to read the Gutenberg Classic, post in the help thread, and I will randomly assign a category that cannot be used for this task."
I do not see any request from you for a category that cannot be used. I choose these randomly, so the book you are claiming for this task may or may not be acceptable.
Also, when you repost, be sure to include your readerboard name.

For 25.8, option 2, you need to post a cover showing your animal on it. A blank generic cover isn't going to work.
Ask a librarian to add the cover to the edition you reead. Or post another cover for the book. If you read an audiobook, I notice that there is another audiobook listed that does has a cover.

You linked to The Night Circus - that shows 387 pages, which does not qualify for a BB ticket

What edition did you read? Robin's advice to just post a paperback cover is not accurate. If you read an audiobook, that's the cover you need to post.

I'll repost with the correct version.

So sorry if I gave wrong info. My understanding is that if you listen to an audiobook, you need to state that and link to the mmpb or if none, 1st paperback listed. I didn't write all that out, and actually it wasn't my place to give advice! I am a Mod in several groups, but obviously not here, so I apologize and will make sure not to butt in again.
It looks like my misleading post has been replaced, thank you.

I know you were trying to be helpful, Robin, but the problem is that this is NOT the rule for covers - you always need to post the cover of the edition that you read. You seem to be confusing it with the rule for determining page length of an audiobook.

Got it, thanks, and it definitely won't happen again. Thank you for the amazing and detailed work you do for the group.

Please check your math! Looks like you only added 5 points from your previous post, rather than 15. I show you with 450 after this post.
No need to repost, this is just an FYI so you can fix your records.

Thanks for the catch Sandy : ) Apparently I can't do basic math not to mention that I didn't even have it recorded in my records that I posted that task LOL I think I straightened it all out now!

PLEASE do not delete the contents of your post. I am guessing that this was one that was incorrect, but I now have a point discrepancy in your posts. It's difficult to track down the problem, when you've deleted information.
ETA - in a later post, the discrepancy seems to have been resolved. However, understand that I try to review these things post by post, rather than just saying "oh, well, I guess it will work out in the long run."

My post immediately after hers I wasn't able to use the "Add book" feature, either, and had to do it the hard way. It does seem to be working again, however.

I've been having A LOT of issues with the "add book" function as well. IF I didn't have all my stuff already planned/typed up in my personal private group where I can copy & paste it here, I would be lost as I don't know what the hard way is that Aprilleigh speaks of.
I have also found in the last couple of days that when I go to a book's page to add it to shelves, write reviews, etc it's asking me to sign in when I should already be & won't allow me to sign in from the book's page : ( This ONLY happens when I'm on the NEW page which thankfully isn't very often.

more like herding squirrels at a rave on PCP ;)

Oh oops! I saw the rules but missed the updated page part. Sorry about that.
Sadly , as some of you seem to understand, we DO NOT control GR and whatever screwups /changes/absurdities they choose to inflict on all users.

Task 15.8 requires that you include the page number of the list on which your book is found, not the number on the list.

Task 30.1 has a minimum page requirement.
The book you posted for book 2 has no page numbers listed. If this is the edition you read, you will need to get a librarian to add the page number. https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...

Look at how much of the book happened in the 20s -How much in WWI (which is before the 20s)? How much is later, while he's writing and trying to get it published?
