Works for me.
Ok I will get The Wonder in a thread for you. I haven't read the book that I can remember, but I will probably watch the movie too.

Is anyone interested in Shantaram? Shantaram
by Gregory David Roberts. You need to know that the book (part one) is over 900 pages and so is book two! I am going to attempt it - I have it on hold at the library. I think there are also audio CD's, however my library system does not have access to them.
Charlie Hunnam stars in this - so I am gonna try to get thru the book - God willing and the creek don't rise...sigh!
the series is on Apple TV ~ https://tv.apple.com/us/show/shantara...

I read it. It was a very long time ago, but I remember loving it.
Are you planning to watch the series? If so I will put it up in it's own thread and we can chat about it - soon - but I need time to get and start reading that 900 page book!
I just found out that this book/movie Shantaram is autobiographical. That makes it all more alluring.
https://offtheshelf.com/2022/11/all-t...I wasn't sure where to put this but but it's a list of Off the Shelf's favorite adaptations.
Great Phyllis. Everyone look this list over and see if there is anything there that you might want to follow up on and if I can find out where the adaption is I will post them.Posting this here or under general conversation either one was fine. Thanks
Another good one is Station Eleven. I read the book and watched the series. Loved them both but almost thought the series was better.
I cannot get into anything Emily St John writes. I also could not watch the movie - for me it clicked around too much and was too bizarre. When I could not read the book I tried the movie thinking maybe it would clear up what I couldn't understand with the jumping around in the book. I had not read The Goon Squad,, so thought maybe that was the problem. Nope - I am just not a St John fan. HOWEVER, that would not prevent me from starting a post for it if there is enough interest. I don't have to read/watch or like all the books/adaptations that are posted. Just let me know.

Anyone read the R K Rowlings series - Cormoran Strike ? Four books so far ~~The Cuckoo's Calling (2013)
The Silkworm (2014)
Career of Evil (2015)
Lethal White (2018)
I understand that there is also a TV series called Strike currently on, HBO has the rights in America and it is in it's 5th season.

Anyone up for this book/TV series adaptation?
Anyone planning on watching the new show Will Trent? It’s starting this week I believe. I’m assuming it’s based on series by Karin Slaughter.

I understand that there will be spoilers in the series that affect the Grant County book series. There is a cross over between these two. I am taping the Will Trent series since I am reading the Grant County book series.

Well I finally finished the book and am now watching the streaming version on Apple+. it took me over a month to read the book - bites and pieces at a time while reading other books - and not sure I will read Book # 2 which is also 936 pages. We will see after watching this series if I get book #2.

This one I haven't ever heard of Trisha. Book or series. Blah another Kidman! I have not been happy with anything she has done for the last few years, but that doesn't prevent me from posting a new series. However it is very late tonight and I am only on to shut down so I can go to bed. I will post this tomorrow, for sure.
Thanks for the find.
