Your Worst Book You Have Read This Year So Far???

ACOTAR-the worst!!!

what didnt you like about it? super curious"
It was the absolute worst plot ever, poorly written and edited with poor pacing, shallow characters, a myriad of tropes, the telling instead of showing, repetitive language, unlikeable characters many with the same personality, and countless info dumps.

I DNF got so close to the end but basically felt like I was wasting my time and didn't even care about the too many characters.

Thank you Alicia!! This so spot on! There is no plot nor any real messages ...The book drags on detailing the early days of jerk Mick Riva, and his long-suffering wife he drives to drink Their oldest daughter drops out of school gets 'discovered', and becomes a supermodel yet still raises the other attractive surfer/model brood and they have a big party every year. I'm still scratching my head.

I agree-So an intelligent, successful breadwinning writer, wife and mother could not tell her husband, of at least a decade, that she used a literary trick to get out of a slump or slip into a devious one? So instead she fakes her coma, poops in a diaper, and scares her son who's lost so much already .....what???

You didn't miss anything!

Well, I thought it was horrible....the plot, the writing, the characters.......everything

LFA: Pope 'fell in love' with a girl he barely knew and he was CONSTANTLY sexualizing her- not to mention that her MALE friends were always commenting on the fact that she 'loved sex'. I'm sorry but that's disgusting. And why did she have to be the one who was the 'wild child' in this book? Why did Pope have to be the super smart one who needed a different perspective on things who fell for a 'broken girl', why couldn't it have been the other way around?? John Green has a funky little way of creating female characters and you can strongly tell that this is a woman written by a man and it's unfortunate.
PT: I have the same issue w/this that I had w/LFA, yet again the smart boy with no issues falls for a girl who barely gives him a second thought and that is constantly looking for attention. Why are women always the problem child in his books??? Where is he getting this from???? Who is feeding him these constant lies😭 The book was hilarious, the characters were funny and it was relatable but it could've made an exceptional book w/o Margo's petty antics🤷

So overrated !

literally would rate them -100 if I could, WORST books ever. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

whattttt I just finished book 1 and 2 and I"m feeding for the 3rd, but I cant afford it LMAO

the hating game was one of my top reads, but I can't explain why, the book just brought me sm joy. I'm really interested in hearing why you didn't like it.

I can see why, I felt like the book had so much potential and the ending was just rushed.

And good girl bad blood, ngl, I hated it
