(view spoiler)[ I am so thrilled by this book, I am loving getting to know more about Garrett and Ransom is also such an interesting character. I enjoyed the puzzlement of the Ravenels over why he was left some property. It's an interesting not reveal because he and we know but lots of the characters don't. I likedthat she summoned him to spend her birthday with and the fighting lessons. Also the male doctor she works with is great and I loved when he was like go get laid, take your pleasure like a man would 😂. (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[ West is so great here but so so lucky Garret didn't kill him. Also lol at Ransom waking up and immediately wanting sex. I don't think that's actually how that would go. I'm very curious to see where this goes from here. He still has work to do, will Garrett and West take over? They are an excellent platonic pair. (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[ I'm glad it all worked out for them and everyone got what they deserved. I laughed at her dad thinking he outplayed Sebastian because as if, but that was nice of him. I wish we had gotten a little more of Garrett and the other doctor at the end because I really love their friendship but oh well. I'm going to take a little break from the series before going on because experience has taught me four Lisa Kleypas in a row is my limit 😂. (hide spoiler)]

Apart from that I'm enjoying their romance, I liked the intimacy of her shaving him and how she took the books and is actively working to ensure things are in order, propriety be damned. (view spoiler)[ This ended a bit abruptly. I knew the estate manager was being secretive about the books for a reason. So glad Phoebe pushed on and got to the bottom of it. It was fun to see Ransom again and also to see West in the club and his interactions with Sebastian. I really enjoy this series, it's so easy to read. It was a nice reset after the book I read prior which was super heavy and thought provoking. (hide spoiler)]

Chapters 1-7
(view spoiler)[ well this is a fun set up. I figured Tom Severin would end up with a book but Cassandra I wasn't expecting - though at this point who else is left lol. I really enjoyed his hilariously bad proposal and their instant chemistry. We're really speeding through time so I'm curious to see if they will be coming together at this wedding or if we have more time apart to come. (hide spoiler)]

Chapters 8-15
(view spoiler)[ Well, that was the quite the scandal. When his dad got into the mix I expected something weird, but not this. Poor Cassandra, I’m glad her family was there to support her and hot damn Tom, just casually buying the paper to save her. He’s so gone and doesn’t even realize it. I hope Cassandra recognizes that because yes girl marry him. He loves you, he just hasn’t figure it out yet. And also then you can fix things for Bazzle because just being a servant isn’t enough, he’s a kid. (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[ This contract and the negotiations are amazing. This section was my favourite, it was so fun. I love how he caved on basically everything, he’s such a sap for her. I’m so happy they are getting married. (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[ I love their little family and am so happy he was able to realize he loved her and say it. I thought it was going to take a lot more than that. I’m so glad they adopted Bazzle and that Cassandra is taking a role in helping people displaced by Tom’s business. They are such a great team. Of course, I wouldn’t be me if I didn’t complain about the unnecessary kidnapping attempt. Because I’ve had a break this one just made me shake my head and chuckle at the ridiculousness. Lisa Kleypas is nothing if consistent in these silly dramatic scenes. (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[ I enjoy how both widow books have the more sexually free ladies, it makes sense but also makes me laugh. Because it’s the Ravenels series I would have thought Keir was another Ravenel bastard but he seems to be Sebastian’s based on these clues. I vaguely remember something about a woman and a baby in his book but not enough to be helpful. Just enough to know that I should know more than I do right now. I’m enjoying Keir and Merritt’s romance so far. It’s not going to be one night, but keep telling yourselves that. (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[ Whoa, I was not expecting this amnesia plotline. Who the hell wants to kill him and why? Also will he regain his memories or not? This is going to be really interesting. I can see why everyone is side eyeing Merritt for taking him in but I’m glad she did. (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[ Kind of sad the fake engagement didn't really go anywhere, it's a favourite trope of mine. I liked seeing Phoebe and Merritt together and getting Phoebe's perspective on it. I'm totally side eyeing the it's love thing too. No it's not you don't know him. I guess I was wrong, we weren't supposed to know about Sebastian's bastard, maybe that was another Wallflower man, I'm not sure. Or hell, who knows could be some other historical I read that's blending together with that in my mind. I'm curious to see what's going to happen with Keir and Merritt. The pining is great but they seem to want different things from life so I don't know how they'll remedy that. Also still confused as to how this is an Ravenels books considering none of them are Ravenels. I'm guessing it's just because they are characters in but it's interesting because all of the other books had a Ravenel. I was waiting for the his bio mom was a Ravenel drop but that's clearly not the case. (hide spoiler)]

It’s fun to have the Wallflowers cameos and I really liked that moment between Sebastian and Lillian. Keir was being dumb about her not coming and I liked having her be the good shot and protector. Chapters 34-Finish
(view spoiler)[ I’m happy it all worked out, but I was very annoyed by Merritt being supposedly barren then having his super sperm immediately impregnate her. At first, I figured it was going to be actually her exes problem as it was always blamed on the woman, but it actually was her and I thought wrongly that this was going to be infertility rep and not magic baby.
