Thrillers, All That Fall and Under a Broken Sky by Kris Calvin 4 stars.
Space Opera: Ethan of Athos Brothers in Arms and Mirror Dance by Lois McMaster Bujold 4 stars, she is quickly becoming an instant buy author.
Cozy mysteries:
Coffeehouse mysteries by Cleo Coyle are really good if you like Coffee. These are a bit grittier than the usual cozy. 4 stars
Assaulted Caramel book 1 of Amish Candy Shop by Amanda Flower is a typical cozy. I enjoyed this, 3.25 stars
I love Stones for Ibarra by Harriet Doerr. This is a re-read, it's set in Mexico. Her writing is so good.
But, after reading multiple books in the Vorkosigan Saga, by Lois McMaster Bujold. As a whole, this series is a five star read for me. I know I will be re-reading her works.

Welcome everyone!Can you believe we are over halfway through the year, and how quickly June and July just flew by?
I found myself early this past week wanting to read a thriller, fast-paced and engrossing.
Do you find yourself wanting to read a specific genre when the temperature soars? I find myself wanting to read lighter books: Mysteries, thrillers, fantasy or Science Fiction. For some reason
I always think of Ray Bradbury's The Martian Chronicles during the summer.
Is there a book you read recently that was the right book at the right time?
I don't read specific genres because of the weather. Other than Christmas books in November and December.However, I just finished Two Girls Down by Louisa Luna which was a great story (about two young girls being abducted) and now I want to read something light with a very happy ending.
