"Where at? State wise I mean?" she asked
"No, I mean what state did you attend high school in?" she told him
"I was from Illinois." she was surprised by how small the world was.
"What did you do for fun?" she asked
"Really? No sports or parties?" she asked her tone slightly teasing.
"I do remember parties somewhat."
"I read then and still do now. Books aren't really pillaged items." she chuckled
"You sure? You are being pretty quiet."
"I can't really keep a conversation going by myself." she told him calmly. She glanced down the hill they were standing on and sighed. "Town." it was just a bit in the distance
He nods and walks a little faster.
He gets to the town and looks around
"Anything?" she asked walking next to him and then by him as she looked around as well.
"Use your words." she turned and poked him in the chest.
"I asked if there was anything, as in did you notice anyone?" she asked poking his cheek next
"Hmmmmm." He does it to annoy her.
She narrowed her eyes and stepped closer to him, finger poking his cheek again
She shrugged and turned around, purposefully swaying her hips as she walked, doubting he'd seen a woman for a while much less touched one. She found a small pharmacy and decided to check it out just in case
"Hm?" she replied without turning to look at him. She continued to stuff bandages and ace wraps in her duffle followed by antiseptic, whatever she could get her hands on
He rolls his eyes and walks looking for a place to stay.
She chuckled to himself and went looking for food, knowing he'd come find her when they had a place to sleep.
He gets a place and looks for her,
"So I'm thinking corn, green beans and beans." she held the dusty cans up to him, other food in her backpack.
"Did you find a place?" she asked as she handed over a can of each thing to him. "I figured we could grab some blankets and maybe if we could find a sleeping bag we could use it too. I haven't had a chance to browse the rest of this place yet." she told him motioning around to the rear of the Walmart.
"I did and ok" he follows her
She noted the clothes section as they passed but kept walking, knowing it would be dark soon and that bad things normally happened at night. The bedding section was still pretty in tact so they easily found blankets, as well as a single sleeping bag and a kerosene lamp. "So where did you find?" she asked two blankets under her arms.
"Wow way to be vague." she sighed
"Yep you will have to follow me."
"I'm doing that." she muttered
She sighed and kicked a couple rocks as they walked.
"I swear if I get tetanus because of you I'm going to severely hurt you." she told him as she stepped inside and headed for one of the corners.
