This book was better because James wasn't in it much :-D I really hate that twat!
But Charles was in it... and even though he's an a-hole, too, at least he's an "honest a-hole", meaning, he knows very well he's an a-hole. And I believe he sincerely likes Agatha, even though he cannot fight his spots, and treats her badly. I like him.
I think I still have an hour left to the deadline? I hope I do...

I have 2 series I'm thinking about. 1 series has 7 books (IF we are still reading toward mid-late April) and 1 series has 6 books...
Had anybody else decided to go for this bonus? If so, I'll gladly do the 3 books in a series bonus. That's super easy for me. Which the start & finish a series seems daunting & I'd have to get extremely lucky on the last couple. Ya know...
Any of my longer series are all rereads. Most of the ones I have queued up are new series with less than 4 books or are the next book in an already started series, so I wasn't going to try for that bonus.For the three books in a series - do they have to all be read in the week where one qualifies? Or do you need to get all three qualified in the course of the game?
I have been thinking about that bonus. The hard part is it is no re-reads, so I haven't found anything yet. I'll keep looking. Maybe I can find a 4 or 5 book series that I haven't read yet.
On a happy note, my next Joe Pickett book is #14 in series, so hurray for me!

Welcome Lanelle! The only bonus we have gotten is the 2 for 1. Michelle & I were talking over the series bonuses earlier today. I think it might be great for all 3 of us to go for that incase somebody else doesn't make it or one of our books that hasn't been called matches the alternative. But anything you want to do feel free!

So... I just read books #4, #5, #6, #7, and #8 in Agatha Raisin, so that's a bonus point, isn't it? :-D

Review: Another winner!
I’m so, so glad to get another story with these characters. Undercover Dex was hot and even though the bad guys were, yet again, unconscionable monsters, Dex, Sloane, and their team were up to the task. There are bumps in the road and I was afraid of some relationship drama, but they stood together, strong! I can’t wait for the rest of the series!!

Review: It's typical of most first books in a series. It introduces was too many characters, and the majority of the beginning is spent with background information. The author didn't romanticize the Regency era like a lot of authors do. She talked about poor cleanliness and low morals. It was interesting, but nothing special.

This was a cute retelling of Beauty and the Beast with an unexpected twist to the ending. I enjoyed it a whole lot but it definitely could have been edited down a bit. This was a long one, not boring but still loooong. We did get us some beastly sexy scenes which were interesting and can I say, hot? Just me? Anyways, fun story and an interesting take on the old fairy tale.

OK Ya'll so now I'm really torn. The series I decided to go for the completed series bonus is one that is an interconnected series. Some of the previous MC show up for business deals with current ones but I think that's gonna be it. We'll kinda more like criminal underbelly but that's still their business. 🤣🤣. Anyhoo, since I'm going to be starting challenge I like to pick books that do double duty and work for more than one challenge, so I made a list of all my books I'm up to with what numbers they are in a series. I do have a #14. But I think I might save it for a different challenge or it might work for alternative choice because I think it would be nice to try for dget the bonus.
BTW... Have ya'll done a list like that? I kind of had a list but not a big one. This one isn't complete, but it gave me alot of choices. I just don't have any #16-#19s. I have some more #6 in series than anything, followed CLOSELY by #5. Unless you count the in-between book as a 5. Then I have WAY MORE #5s. What about ya'll? What #s do you have most of?
I mostly have books 2 or 3 and a whole slew of new series to start... I don't have a lot of long series shelved but I have enough I shouldn't have to ever do an alternate - even if I have to reread :)

Yes Shannon that's the one. I think if whoever has books to use could go for that one, then hopefully at least one person it will work out for.

This was a start of a new series for me. I love Fairytales. Really Love Them. In this series, Katee Roberts has the fairy tales switched up to where the Villan is the Hero & the hero is actually the villain. This one was Jasmine and Jafar. I really liked Jafar. Jasmine was more meh for me. I did not like Meg. Unfortunately Hades and Meg are next . I'm really excited about Hades tho.
